The USL defending champions downed 4th ranked MLS New England Revolution in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. For those keeping count, this makes little Louisville City FC 3-2 vs MLS teams alltime. Respect

We are going to get in one way or the other. At this point we are UofL football in C-USA trying to make a BCS conference. Could easily be 4-1 vs MLS teams if they didn't lose to Chicago in extra time two years ago.

I would love relegation in the US soccer leagues. This is a perfect time to let the strongly managed, funded, and operated clubs sort it out on the pitch. Plus I think it would draw real international ownership of teams.

FC has better ownership and a nice stadium deal in place. It's no surprise at all.

Louisville City didn't make a bid for team last MLS expansion.

They are building a stadium right now. It wouldn't have been completed on time so they didn't try.

Ownership isn't a problem.

FC Cincinnati beat 2 MLS teams in last year's US Open Cup.

They also average more than 21K in attendance. Louisville last year averaged 8K. FC Cincinnati would have had the 7th highest average attendance in MLS last year, which is crazy.

Also has a losing record to LCFC alltime

America's team continued its cup run tonight, beating Nashville 2-1 and advancing to the quarterfinals. Unfortunately Ibrahimovic and The LA Galaxy stepped out early, preventing the highly anticipated championship matchup. Philly, Orlando or Chicago, you're up.

Can’t be America’s team if it’s in a minor league city and it’s a team that nobody has heard of. This is like somebody from Omaha bragging about winning the D League Championship.

You guys ever play FC Dallas?

USL is huge, biggest pro league in country. So, teams are divided between east and west. Only time we can play MLS teams is in US Open Cup, which is also east and west, or vs Orlando City who was initially affiliated with Louisville. So...no. Dallas FC has some good players though. Funny thing is the Louisville guys have full time jobs in offseason and still beat these teams. Pretty impressive, really
