A November win vs Houston convinced you that Auburn would win a series vs any team in March?
One of Self's weakest teams destroyed a better Houston team than this in February last year.

Deepest team doesn’t mean anything, these are young guys that are used to playing 2 games a day in AAU and as long as you can go 8 or 9 deep, you're fine.

If it was a series in 2019, Auburn most likely doesn’t get to the E8, let alone the Final 4. Ya'll weren't beating KU in a best of 3, 5 or 7, weren't beating UNC, or UK in a series either. Just take your FF run and be thankful the ball bounced your way the times it did.
Auburn has a damn good team this year, but matchups matter and there are a lot of really good teams this year.

hubert is at a place that has a far better history. bruce is over achieving while hunert is under achieving. hubert took over for a coach that had won 3 national titles. Pearl took over at a place that had not even been in the ncaa tourney for 11 years when he took over. no comparison at all

Coaching at a school like UNC might give you a bit of an advantage in recruiting, but it doesn't guarantee elite results. Not even close.
What matters is that Pearl has been recruiting well at Auburn. He's probably recruited better than Self the last several years (and a shitload of other solid programs). There's no reason to expect less from him, if he's the coach you think he is.

Okay, so what, look what Mark Few is doing, South Carolina made a FF, FAU made a FF, SDSU made a title game, Tennessee under Barnes has been highly successful in the SEC, Alabama made a FF last year, Texas tech made it to a title game, Virginia has several recent ACC titles and an NCAA title, to me, all those stories are > Auburn and Bruce Pearl. So what, Pearl came out of an NCAA punishment and took the best job he could. He could do the same thing at buttcrack State. Nobody cares.

I really don't understand why people hate on Pearl. Guy has made Auburn relevant and wins wherever he goes. When you hear him talk, it's really hard not to like the guy. People complain about some ncaa violations as if the sport hasn't been a cesspool of corruption since before we were all born.
You're really not a criminal unless you're convicted. That's the way things have always worked and still do today. Saying everyone does something is just slander unless it is proven.
In Pearl's case he has a history of misdeeds over several universities.
