Because it isn't a shot people make in the flow of the game.
You don't want to shoot it from half court. Maybe a 30 footer but not from half court.
Horrible shot selection.
I don't know the percentages...
To me it would be a wasted shot for an extra point.
Even before the three point line people shoot that shot with the flow of the game to stretch a defense.
But like I said no one is pulling up from half court to stretch a defense.
If you want to keep the flow of the game and add a 4 point shot.
Make it around 31 feet
