Aside from the 40 year old comment.....what part of that isn't true of yourself as well?
The fact that I’m 20 years old living in a frat house.
Starting to get more parity in the league. Like I said Oct 26 is going to be fun even though my Wolverines are playing nonconference against ND (who should have made a B1G deal instead of ACC). You have Wiscy @ OSU and PSU @ MSU. Always dangerous IU facing Nebraska, Ill v PU rivalry, and I believe Iowa vs NW as well.
Wow my bad didn’t read your comment. Yeah I don’t have any affiliation with the team and am simply a fan. This Iowa guy is clearly getting off to the fact that his team is big and tough and is using words like “Us” and “We” to describe Iowa football.
She lies though.....a lot. Pick someone else.
Sure...... when they're getting ready to play Nebraska.
ISU vs IU- 22-44
ISU vs Nebraska- 18-86-2
We're a bigger "get up for it" game than you are to your own State-mate.
Umm.........so my point still stands.
Just wanted to clarify, in case you thought your post changed anything. Maybe you think that's a good thing to be compared to ISU fans, in which case ignorance is bliss!!
Oh heck, I respect ISU. They could get us every now and then when we were at the top of our game. Iowa had to wait til Pelini was on his way out the door to get their first win against us in 32 years.
3 years of Mike Riley and some Iowa fans think this thing is actually a rivalry.
What's not to love about Iowa State. They're on YOUR level, not ours.
We will see about that!
10 wins? I would have said that's bold but you do have a fav sched.
Your level is 4-8...until proven otherwise. Mebbe this year?
For fun, I looked up the times Iowa State beat Nebraska when they had a bowl-eligible/winning record:
*Nebraska was conference champ (2009 division champ)
7 out of 18 wins for ISU (in 106 meetings) came against Nebraska teams with winning records.
Now let's look at Iowa:
That looks like 7 out of 17 wins (in 49 meetings) for Iowa came against Nebraska teams with winning records......
P.S. Fun fact I didn't know until today. Iowa and Nebraska played twice in 1896, just two days apart. They first met on November 26th on Thanksgiving Day in Omaha.
Blizzard conditions and heavy snowfall greatly hindered the contest, and despite an additional 10 minutes of "extra time" being played to determine a winner, both teams had to settle for a 0-0 tie.
Not being satisfied with the results and the weather conditions, both teams agreed to meet again on November 28th. This time in better conditions, Iowa was able to score a 6-0 victory capping off their 7-1-1 season as conference champions (back in the Western Interstate University Football Association days).
What is the ranking of the Big10?
Just a formality to let everyone know that Iowa > your team.....
So Iowa will win the Big and be in the cfb playoff?
not one battle for the axe for the west title mention....
Damn isnt Sears going out of business?
I didn’t see any Iowa fans posting in the thread about the 25 greatest football programs, oh wait on second thought, that makes perfect sense.
Am I not an Iowa fan?.....
1. OSU v PSU
2. Michigan v PSU
3. MSU v PSU
4. Iowa v PSU
I agree, Arizona football is more comparable for Iowa. Arizona and ISU are very much like Iowa in football.
9/21 Michigan at Wisconsin
9/28 tOSU at Nebraska
11/30 tOSU at Michigan
Purdue and Northwestern have had their way with Iowa the past couple years..no reason to get your panties in a bunch until the Hawks start winning vs those two.
Lots of good crossover games in the Big 10 this year
Michigan At Wisconsin
Ohio State At Nebraska
Penn State At Iowa
Wisconsin At Ohio State
Michigan State At Wisconsin
Iowa At Michigan
Ohio State At Northwestern
Michigan State At Northwestern
This thread might as well have been titled "who do Michigan and ohio state play?".
Well, when Purdue or anyone else is ready to step up, I will shut up
OSU vs Michigan. The only game in that conference that matters.
Iowa barely beat a shitty nebraska team last year. Prepare yourself for the woodshed hawkeyes, B1G west is going through Lincoln.
