Last national title by conference

The Big Ten drought is pretty amazing, considering half the league has played for one. :( It’d be one thing if we were never making it that far, but for us to have had that many programs be good enough to make that final game and lose every time really sucks.
Wisconsin('15), Michigan St('09), Michigan('13,'18), Ohio St('07) and Illinois('05).

Did I forget any? Indiana('02)

None since 2000? Yikes. I guess Mateen Cleaves isn't walking thru that door.

Adams + Beard vs Brucey - Okekedekee

Yeah, looks like a mismatch.
Auburn beat Kentucky and took uva to the wire without okeke. Not having okeke is the only thing keeping that game close. Auburn has a natty if okeke plays in that final 4.

Nah we take you seriously if you’re at full strength and probably win by double digits.

And they continue to always but more teams in .which is BS. They are over rated now in BB and football.

Getting more teams doesn’t make them “overrated.” Who should have gotten those spots? The Committee choosing Rutgers and Michigan and Indiana as 11 or 12 seeds isn’t some proclamation that the Big Ten is going to have a bunch of teams in the Elite Eight or Final Four … in fact, it’s the opposite…? They were selected as teams favored to lose in the First Round. Illinois as a 4 seed and Wisconsin as a 3 seed are teams favored to lose in the Sweet Sixteen. What seed didn’t a Big Ten team deserve based on its resume?

Oklahoma had virtually no bad losses, a lot of close losses vs good teams, with blowout wins vs Arkansas and Texas Tech and a win over Baylor. They were also playing their best ball at the end and frankly got screwed in their 1 pt loss to Texas Tech in the semis.

I think OU got snubbed, but I’m not sure that’s an immediate indictment on the Big Ten.

OU was 4-12 in Quad 1 games. Hard to justify a team getting in with a large sample size of Quad 1 games and only winning 25% of those contests. That home loss to Butler wasn't good either.

They played Baylor, KU, Texas Tech, Texas, TCU and Iowa St home and away. Plus Arkansas and @ Auburn. How many bubble teams are going to have a quality record vs that slate?

Louisville wasn’t in the ACC when they won
I noted that. We are in the acc now and we have won a title since the last time an sec won it all. Thats what i was replying to. 4 diff teams with a title in the last decade. We may never see that again in any conference, regardless if we were in the acc when we won it or not.

The B12 was the biggest buzz saw this year. It was the most competitive top to bottom that I ever remember it
Fax.

but last year had more ranked teams going into tourney. 6 I think. But last year we had bad teams. This year no bad teams. Only 4 ranked this time but largely due to how Much we beat up on each other.

the ACC might be on a “break” here of late with a Really bad year but it’s still the pound for pound bball king. So many great programs with tons of history. UL, Cuse, Duke, UNC, Wake, NCSU, and the new money like FSU, VT and somewhat Miami. No one touches that.

The big 12 has elevated so much bc of a bunch of new money programs like WVU (really only got good with Belein and then Huggins), Tech (Beard) and Baylor (drew 2010’s) to add to historical programs in KU, OU, Okie State and to a degree an ISU or Texas.

sec has elevated due to their commitment to hire great coaches and pay the money. It’s paid off for the sec nicely when you have a Bama or Tennessee where they’re at who were doormats in basketball 20 years
ago.
ACC just has been top dog ever since the old big east ended easily. But Big 12 been the top dog last couple years with SEC gaining ground. And B10/BE solid too. PAC improving.

It’s the biggest missed call in final 4 history so yes I am
UK fans present their case ‘15. Look at the shot clock and where the basketball is. Close game. Frustrating. This was just obnoxious. If not for this level of ineptitude UK might have 2 more titles. There might be arguments saying it was the right calls, but the picture/videos are unedited. We all see the same thing.
