KU fans GITT: Ochai Agbagi

I live in KC and I think this kid is the real deal. Crazy to see how he's come out of nowhere in terms of recruiting. Didn't have any major offers and up to him signing w/ Kansas, they were coming in droves. Pretty surreal to see Self, Brown, and Littell all sitting in the same room. I watched him once when he played our town's high school last year and they had to stop the game twice because he bent the rim. Then I saw a video of him posterizing a player from one of the city's top schools last night.

Sounds like since then he's improved his shot and gotten even more athletic. Much improved finisher. I don't usually travel for high school games but we're going into the city to watch our school take him on next week. What is the KU fanbase's consensus on this kid? He looks like he could become a solid contributor within a few years. I'd love to see a local kid make it big time in college hoops.

Also, what I don't get: How didn't Mizzou offer this kid? I know he was a late bloomer and KU was probably always going to win it but this kid is in your home state! Go after him!

Counzo Martin has virtually ignored Kansas City recruiting since he arrived. This is a mistake since there are Mizzou Alum business owners in Kansas City who will give the parents of poor recruits jobs with salaries and company cars, despite the absence of any gainful job skills.

We really like what he could bring the program as an upperclassmen. The feeling is he understands he'll have to wait his turn but eventually be an impact player. I think ranking wise he ends up high 3-star or even low 4-star.
