Kentucky vs alabama

This has nothing to do with accents.

Southern, Kentucky, Cali, Boston, Midwest - all accents.

You dont even know what youre trying to argue at this point, you just know youve decided to dig your heels in and argue something.

It's actualy dialects. but that's neither here or there. You showed your ignorance by saying, "I'm surprised he talks that way".

I get you're just trolling.

Gabriel put himself in the UK history books today with 7-7 from 3. That's quite an accomplishment on it's own.

I've seen all kinds of wild numbers today. Gabriel holds that 3 point shooting record for UK, Kentucky moves on to 42-2 all-time in the SEC Tournament semifinals. Kinda wonder what I'll see next.

I can't wait to get Dennis Rodman Jr. back with the way that all of PJ, SKJ, and Gabriel are playing now.

Oh my gosh.

I am well traveled and have spoken with folks from all over North America. If you think that you can pick out where they are from then you are a specialist.

My sister had a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt in English Literature. If you wanted her to speak like someone for London, England it would take her two seconds to do it. If you wanted her to speak like someone from London, KY it would take another two seconds.

Hell I can talk like someone from Boston. Just drop the "r's" from most words and add them at the end of words that don't have an "r". Just like John Kennedy and make "Cuba", Cuber.

I think they said prior to that the record for consecutive 3s without a miss was 5 by Ramel Bradley. That's actually pretty underwhelming, IMO.

Europeans and Australians are notorious with ending everything with an r. Especially anything that ends with an a.

I will say, arguing about accents and dialects on here is a welcome change from the tinfoil idiocy and asshattery on Rafters. I usually avoid it but this time of year you gotta go where the action is.

Also....the #6 Bat Cats are up 10-5 in the 8th on #3 Texas Tech y'all. A win clinches the weekend series, and if we got the sweep tomorrow........WOW.

Well, I can find it believable. More often than not, if a person hits 5 straight, they'll shoot that 6th one and miss, and then this record doesn't happen.

Good job with the filthy bammers, Cats. See you Sunday.

All the other fans who told me to chill out might have been right. Team is starting to click at the right time. Just completely throttled a Tournament team who throttled the conference champs yesterday. I'll never doubt a Calipari coached team again. They've turned it around since losing three in a row, starting with the Auburn loss.
Meh....They got handled at Florida. Beat an average UGA team. Got an out of body experience game from Gabriel. They have looked better. But I'm not sure I'd say they are "starting to click". I mean how many times you guys going to shoot 81% from three in a half? How many times Gabriel going to go 7-7 from three? I still think UK can be scary. Just not convinced they've turned ot around that much.

Their defense has been outstanding in the SECT. Sure, some can say show me more, but they have shown is outstanding defense at the right time. I get you're the devil's advocate, but turning it around is more on the defense than offense.

We have four wins (including one on the road and one neutral) against Tournament teams in the last seven games, by an average margin of 14 points. Not to mention I think the Auburn game they played pretty well, just lost to a good team on the road, that's the game I think the team started pulling it together. Throw in the clunker against Florida sure, but over the last 8 games we've looked good 7 times against decent (if not elite) competition. This isn't really about today's game... not that today's game hurts. The team clearly looks different.

What’s that got to do with the price of eggs?
Not much other than piling on UL's shitty year. The point spread had to be a large spread to compete with the other. IE lose to UK by 29 or lose two banners?

Unfortunately for UL, you lost both.

We won the football (my favorite) by 27, I’m good.

Elite? Kentucky has looked better. But c'mon---Elite? UGA is not elite. Hell they are barely good. Alabama is good. Certainly not elite. MSU isn't elite. Nor is Missouri. Or Arkansas; though that is the best win/game I think UK has in this stretch. IMO, best they looked in a long time.

Cats have certainly looked better. But making shots will do that. I wouldn't expect to much of yesterday(Gabriel 7-7, shooting 89% in second half) to be the norm. It was ,well, flukish to be blunt. Had this been Bama that hit 8-9 from three, and had a guy who was shooting 38% from three, who hadn't hit more than three three's in a game all year, go 7-7???? Seesh. We'd be on page 890 by now-------hearing how yet another player shot out his mind vs UK.

I didn't say they were elite, that's what I meant when I said "if not elite". Probably could have phrased it better but that's what I meant.

Not playing the devil's advocate.Just being real. Yes the defense has been good. Really good. But that's just part of it. The offense has had its moments....But not like the defense. UK has gotten better. That is expected. Everyone usually does get better. I just think there has been some huge transformation.

Elite being used in any way with teams such as UGA, Bama, Florida, MSU, etc, etc...is wrong. None of those teams are close to elite. Just call it what it is--------They were good teams.

I didn't call them elite. I didn't even call them good. I called them decent. You're trying too hard today.

Lol....Ok, bub. You said NCAAT teams. Are NCAA teams not good? Then you said decent---"if not elite". Which implies you think some of these teams COULD be elite. WHich is stupid. I don't have to try when you imply any team named UGA, Arkansas, Missouri, Alabama, Florida or UT COULD be elite. The use of the word elite in reference to any of those teams is asinine.

They are good teams. Good wins. But to even hint they are elite, or even could be, is a bad, bad take.

K. I already said that use of the word "elite" was not the best phrasing, and I literally meant that they aren't elite. If this is really the argument you're interested in having, be my guest.

I'mot one who used the word elite. Just pointing out the ignorance of the use. No argument needed.
