I don’t know if they are throwbacks or what they are.Just switched to that game to check it out. HAHAHAHA, wtf... that is horrible. Larry Bird would be proud. Have they said why they are wearing those atrocities?
Sadly, not even the first time they have worn this. They've done it multiple times. Football team is guilty as well. It's horrendous.
Terrible take

It’s a big deal for the grapes.Apparently it’s a rule you have to wear the same color top and bottom but each team gets a 1 game exception to wear different colors. Most teams don’t actually use that stipulation because it looks dumb but here we are.
Throwbacks to when Rolando Blackmon was there. The company sent in the wrong colored shorts, Tex Winter didn't care, played the season in them anywayI don’t know if they are throwbacks or what they are.
Marquette beat us in 1977 by 1 in the sweet 16 and went on to win it all. The and 1 rule was not in effect the way we know it now and Marquette's coach had cancer, refs handed it to them. Marquette coach and players told Tex Winter that KState deserved that winIt’s a big deal for the grapes.
They chose to use their one exemption on…Marquette.
That is the story of Kansas State University: almost relevant.Marquette beat us in 1977 by 1 in the sweet 16 and went on to win it all. Wow. UK's original colors were blue and yellow. I always was curious to see UK do a throw back, but after seeing those. No thanks. Is it much worse than the KU yellow uniforms worn in Danny Manny's senior year? Yes, they wore those unis one time, and one time only - a road game against Western Carolina in the 87-88 season. There's a picture of Danny Manning in that getup on WCU's campus.
"Close but no cigar" or the NCAA doesn't want us to winThat is the story of Kansas State University: almost relevant.
LolQuite sad considering Kstate was the superior basketball school until 1988
