Kansas @ Kansas State Game Thread

Wow Self really shit the bed down the stretch in that game. And Kansas’ downfall is gonna be the fact that their point guard sucks balls.

If KU liked Michael Beasley, Pullen and Dean Wade, they’re gonna love Keyonte for the next 1-2 years.

KJ will always be loved by us Gators. Really think Florida would have had a special season in 2020 if he didn't go down.

Agree. Such a sad deal. He’ll be torn 1/28. Will be awkward. Wish the best for you all this year.

It kind of felt like one of these close games was going to catch up to Kansas. They've pulled off quite a few really close ones this year.

Tang outcoached Self by a wide margin tonight especially late game execution which is usually Self’s specialty. Not having 3/5 starters and the usual guys on the floor late in games probably played a huge part in his struggles tonight. He took all the blame for tonight’s loss. Just all about learning from the loss.

Yeah that foul trouble did them in late in the game.

This is a 1/10 meltdown loss for me. KU lost 3 starters to fouling out (2 of them before end of regulation), shot terrible from 3, missed a ton of FTs, and Self had an unusually poor coaching performance. Went to OT on the road with a chance to win it on the final play. Need to just be more focused throughout the game. Need to stop getting themselves into a hole to start halves and having to fight back.

KSU started the game down a starter, 6'9 5 David N'Guessen which made them exteeemly thin in the post

Nowell had what was probably his least effective game of the season after a after a 10 game POY stretch

Wilson averages 20 and came within 2 of doubling it

KU is 11 points from being 2-4 in the league

Dick had his worst shooting performance of the year, despite getting a bunch of open looks, and McCullar had his worst game of the year. Harris wasn't very good either. And then everybody fouled out. Yet they still win if Bill doesn't call that TO.

Every loss sucks, but color me unconcerned.

if you're gonna pump up Wilson's performance you also have to mention Dick's unusual bad shooting night.

And KState is 3 points away from being 2-4. What's your point? Close games happen. You've had 3 overtime games and won all of them. At least KU is winning their close games in regulation.

The point remains. KU went on the road and shot terrible from the free throw line and missed a ton of wide open threes and played the last 5-10 minutes missing 2 then 3 starters due to key players fouling out. Still had a chance to win it. So yeah, we aren't too concerned.

Have we had some close games lately? Yes.

1) it's a tough league and we get everybody's best shot. We don't have the luxury of going on the road and playing a team that's sleepwalking going through the motions. Keep winning and KState won't have that luxury either.

2) we've got a couple of guys who have been struggling with their shot lately. That's temporary. The shots will start falling again. Not worried at all.

KU lost to kstate in 08 an won the title. Pu$$ycats trying to crap on the champs. Cute
