basketball two steps up for sure. Cincy is a borderline blue blood and big bball fan base. I do wish Cronin never left tho….Houston is top 10 annually right now and never forget phi slamma jamma in the 80’s - Two national runner ups. BYU hasn’t been really good since Jimmer but always is in or around the tourney.

OU people could care less about the Sooners bc they have the thunder now. Texas has beard but still they only show up when their team is either elite or we are (maybe now Baylor too) in town.

football one step down. Texas has been average for 11 years but OU is a major loss. It’s like Ohio state leaving the b10. It hurts. No way around it. All four of our additions were ranked to finish the football season tho.

I really wanted just Texas to leave. OU and KU are bros. OU just likes Texas’ bigger boobs. OU / KU / Texas were the 3 architects to the XII back in the early 90’s. I find it strange two of them godfathers would leave….

Maybe not stronger going forward, but I won’t be surprised if they’re better on average than Texas/Oklahoma have been the last decade.

I think def stronger bc more consistently good teams. consistency will be better.

oU went to a final four in 2016 with Hield. But Texas hasn’t been since 2003. Houston went last year. Cincy I guess was the 90’s. But for basketball only I’d take Cincy and Houston over ou and Texas.

with beard tho texas should be better every year. Not sold on porter mlsley for Ou yet.

cincy is a better longtime program than ou or texas tho. Houston right now is levels above both have been and as long as sampson is their coach. He’s a top 10 coach in the country

so right there you have better league. BYU and UCF gravy whatever they can do to upside.
