Top 30 player in the country. Rivals 6.1. #1 players from the state of Michigan!

Stoops is putting in work! One of, if not the highest rated recruit to ever pick UK since rivals started rating them.

I've heard he's kind of leaning DL right now so wasnt sure if that was the plan for him up there. Either way great pick up and better UK than TN

Georgia got DT Jalen Carter from Apopka,FL earlier today. 4D underwater chess being played in Athens by Kirby. Leftovers to UK and UF.

Good for Kentucky. Love seeing Stoops do well, I’ll always cheer for the guy after his time at FSU.

Hope Xavier can figure it out in Lexington. Needs to get his head straight and work hard in the classroom and he’ll be a good one for y’all.

I wanted Xavier out of high school. Hopefully he gets it together as I believe he’s a great talent. Hopefully being closer to his child and family will help with that.

He had an odd recruitment that's for sure. He was a heavy lean to OSU last year, then it was Georgia, now Kentucky. You don't get recruited by OSU and Georgia and end up at Kentucky unless they clearly pass on you.

I imagine this thread will get bumped later in the year when he flips to another school. My prediction is FSU.

Alabama did along with many others and he still chose Kentucky. Even if Notre Dame did offer, he would have made the same decision. It’s ok. Notre Dame has a great tradition. The building burnt down, not the school, they will be ok

Kentucky was in on this kid early. Kentucky has beat OSU and UGA both out for recruits. Not more, but some. It happened before, happened today, and will happen again, at least while Stoops is here.

Can’t rain on this parade today! Top 10 players in blue and white!

Kentucky is in on all kids early. They're notorious for handing out early offers. But nobody thought he was going to Kentucky last year or even in December. I would hardly paint this as a win over big programs though I know the blue fans will do that. And I'll be shocked if he signs his LOI to Kentucky in December given how much of a roller coaster his recruitment has been.

You're an idiot. Bama, uga, Mich, LSU, Ohio St etc etc all wanted him badly. He is the #10 ranked player in the nation, the #1 ranked OG in the nation.
Ohio St didn't even make his final 6. Stop being a douchebag loser.
And he very well might not sign with UK, but nobody passed on him.

Has any school ever signed a highly rated prospect that you didn't dismiss as "No one else wanted him"?

Roger's recruitment will go to signing day. He has changed his mind numerous times. Good get for the Cats. Now the recruitment really begins in getting him to stick!

OSU stopped recruiting him months ago. He trends from Georgia to Kentucky of all places. You don't think that is strange? Personally I don't believe he is as good as he was as a sophomore where he really blew up in the state of Michigan. It's a recruitment I followed pretty closely. If he was being courted and heavily pursued by all the big name schools he would have gone to one of them and not Kentucky.

I don't think Rogers is as good as his ratings show. It's heavily inflated due to the camps he attended when he was a freshman/sophomore. I imagine some of the big schools are seeing that he hasn't quite panned out like they thought he would, and that happens to a lot of high school recruits.

It was Tenn that was his favorite for sometime. He never even visited Georgia until this weekend, as in yesterday.
And only 4 teams in the country have a 4 star average or better, Clemson, UGA, UK and LSU, NOT Ohio St, so get off your high horse.

I’d love that. He’s a five star for FSU. Looking at our OL, he’s probably a 6 star Laughing:(

Unfortunately true. 50% chance at best UK signs him. UGA, bama and Michigan all still players, probably Tenn also.

Seriously? The kid is rated above the charts. I get drafting for needs, but take him and make it work. Have we come to a point where we need to tear down a great prospect just so we can be “above water?”

    I so need a drink.

The Oregon “cheese and wine” crowd do that so well.

I’ve hung out with Ohio St fans - they are way way cool. It is what it is.

Fellow UK fans, none of the fans of big time programs on here are going to give UK credit on this feat. I agree with many of them that its still 50/50 that he ends up signing...but what this does for perception and momentum is huge. Dont look to these bitter fans for approval. Trust me when i say their dissapointed and not happy with little ol Kentucky imposing on their territories...be excited, embrace it, and enjoy every moment of it.

    Stoops troops!!!

Great pickup by Kentucky, at least for now anyway. Stoops has been taking big steps in Lexington.

It's true, any or all of those players in the top 50 or so could suddenly decide to play elsewhere, and you never know when it could happen. They only count when they've signed, and even after that they could enter the transfer portal with hardly a penalty. This is just the way it is now, for better or worse. The days when a verbal commitment was just as good as a signature are long gone, and the players feel no special obligation to follow through.

You took our leftovers at QB and now you're tryna downplay a kid that would rather play in a great line system in the SEC over an overrated has been from up north.

You salty AF. Get help for your hateritis.
