Jerked beef afiocionado's

not long ago i went to the jerky shop and bought some gator and bison jerky
not impressed with either
the gator jerky was grainy, the bison jerky was greasy, which surprised me

we make a lot of deer jerky, usually vac seal in 1lb (or so) bags

Do you guys smoke it on a pellet grill...dehydrator???
Ive only used a meat slicer and dehydrator---great results. Ive never made deer sticks or anything out of the gun......but god knows i can eat pounds of it at a time.

I once processed half a deer for my brother in law. Took 2 days to prep and dry. Filled two gallon zip lock baggies. It was gone in hours...I beg out when he brings it up again. Dam good tho.

Deer jerky is great. We sometimes make beef jerky though. We use a meat slicer and dehydrator or just the oven.
