IU is the most overrated basketball program

Overrated by what measure? We’ve been a top 5 program nationally under Izzo. And Heathcote won a title and had some damn good teams too. I guess it just depends where you would rank MSU come to most people. I think we’re around 10th all time.
If you claim Michigan State to be overrated it will based on recency bias and the opinion of the casual basketball fan.
Similar to let's say Duke Basketball.
Michigan State often times gets lumped into that elite category because of what they have done under Tom Izzo.
A lot of the posters on here are smarter than that.
But people who may not post on CBB boards and follow the sport religiously could put Michigan State up there with UNC, Kentucky and Kansas because of their success under Izzo.
Similar to say people who think Duke is superior to UNC or Kentucky.
There are some who think that. Even though that theirs goes back to the 1980s. It is that same recency bias.
