How many of you thought this story would go this way? I sure didn't. Congratulations to the most unfairly disrespected college basketball coach in Div 1. I, like many K-Staters, assumed after Bruce had to dismantle the basketball team in the 2015-16 season due to so many issues with personnel, that he just wasn't cut out for this. Most of us didn't even want to give Bruce a chance when he was hired after looking at his time at Illinois, especially with Bill Self down the river. An Elite Eight, and two Big XII Titles in six seasons later, and an overall #1 seed in the upcoming Big XII Tournament. Not a sniff of academic, or other NCAA violations or issues (many of us assumed this was even a sign you weren't trying hard enough). I'm so glad we have you.

And congrats Texas Tech to your title. Isn't it fantastic to see KU not at the top of that line? I think most KU fans would even admit the Big XII desperately needed someone else to win this conference, even if they didn't want that to mean they did not.

I would assume if I were a KU fan and it was going to happen this would be a good year for it. They can basically write it off to the injuries and act humble in their congratulations. Plus, with Zion back they had no chance for NCAAT anyway.

Congrats to you guys! You deserve all the praise you get. Great team! I hope you do well in the tourney, just maybe not as well as us. Good luck!

Same to you... hopefully we are both in the Final 4, though I like Tech's chances a bit more. Injury bug is biting us pretty hard and has been for a few months now. Dean Wade, love him, but the kid is fragile. And Stokes has ongoing issues as well. Guess we'll see.

Wade is a stud. It's sad that he has had so many injury problems. You are a different team when he is healthy. How is next season looking for you with Wade and Brown graduating?

All American center out, Best three point shooter out, blue chip big man ineligible, best defender misses multiple games------Perfect storm for Kansas to suck. Not to mention we under-performed with what we had left....thats the part that really sucks.

Definitely going to be down from this season. Not as young as Texas Tech. Have some pieces coming back, Xavier Sneed, Cartier Diarra, Mike McGuirl. Our Frosh Shaun Neal-Williams is one of the most promising as he's very athletic, but he's struggled at times this season trying to fill in for Stokes in particular when he was injured. But that comes with experience. Other times he's looked great. He had a pretty good showing against Texas Tech scoring 10 points I think in less then 20 minutes. But losing Brown, Wade, and Stokes is gonna mean lots of growing pains for this team next year.
