Went to ER for pain in my back/shoulder. Been having it for a month. Couldn't find any4hing in xray, or nothing. Took urine, and found blood. Did a CT of my kidneys, and they're inflamed. Nephitis. It's always something for me...

I'm really sorry ...... i know the pain of inflammation on the urinary and digestive systems.... prayers and well wishes.

Dude, it is awful...As of now they have me on Percocet 10. I hate them. Make me sick at my stomach, irritable, groggy...BUT, they do handle the pain. Also have me on a very strong antibiotic; Cefindor? Something like that. I go for an MRI Monday, and an ultrasound. My family doc doesn't think its that bad, and has told me I was fortunate the ER doc took a urine sample. Said it could have really gone south, quickly. Tuesday, I'll see a nephrologist...

Thank you...I feel stronger today. I actually umpired a 14U travel ball game. Started to feel a tad weak around the 5th inning. But overall, I feel better. Antibiotic I'm sure is respnsible for that.
If you get diarrhea from the antibiotics, this stuff can really help you out. It's a yeast based probiotic that doesn't get killed by antibiotics like other probiotics, such as the ones in yogurt. Obviously make sure to ask your doctor first, before taking it, if you ever did.

Get better man! I pissed blood once and I bout fell to the floor it scared me so bad.

Good luck, my father has the same deal last year. Pulled a back muscle, pissed blood, had a huge mass of cancer on one of his kidneys and it had to be removed.

Feel better.
Thanks....Been a "bad" day, so to speak...Woke up at 4am with severe pain....elevated BP, and HR at 115. Felt very weak. Went to doc today, and she prescribed a steroid. Don't know why. Took that around 1pm....Around 5, I strted to cramp, and HR became elevated(91BPM). Called my doc----still no response. So I called my nephew, and he sad the cramps are a nasty side-effect, and shouldn't take it.

Pain has subsided some....

Damn, that sounds miserable. I bet the painkillers aren’t helping with the nausea either. Can’t stand those things. Take it a day at a time brother. Keep us updated.

Crazy how something simple, can show someting much more serious. Hope all is well with your dad.

Gonna due an MRI soon. I mean, why not do an MRI in the first place? Did a CT....so why not an MRI?

I am getting frustrated with all these health issues....Getting depressing, TBH. Pain, cramps, this or that...BP low...then high..HR low...then high. Doc also gave me an anxiety sricpt....Sure. I'd settle for some god damn decent pain meds, and some fukin answers...When I first got to the office this morning, her first question was..."So, I take it the shot didn't work"? Huh? WTF are you talking about? Oh, I thiought you were here about your elbow...Ummmm, no. Here respnse---"What is it now, then"? What is it now? WTF....You don't even know why I am here....JFC...

Oh, well...Feeling a tad better tonight. Going to a kidney speciliast. ANf probably finding a new doc...

It really is, but when there’s nothing left to subside the pain, it’s the only remedy. Hang in there homie, you got this.
TBH brother, it does some as if the steroid is working...But I really do not know. Because sometimes, the pain comes and goes. So not sure if this is just a case where its not flaring up, or if its the steroid. I do know I'm not overly thrilled with my primary physician...I mean, bro---she didn't even know WHY I was there. She tought it was for a torn tendon in my elbow----And injury I was seen for a long time ago. Never really asked or commented onmy kidney's---just the pain in back. shoulder blade area. Scheduled me for an MRI, and a follow up in 2 weeks. Said she hopes she can get me in for the MRI, before the follow-up....

Huh? YOu, HOPE? Attach it as an urgent test. ****, I dunno. I'm setting up with a specialist, tomorrow. Hopefully they'll get to the bottom of this...This pain has been going on for over a month. Something has to be done...

get healed man

i know how you feel about taking pain pills they make me sicker than a dog

as for antibiotics, i was on ciprofloxacin for 21 days from eating a under cooked steak (is there any other way to eat one)

So,kidney's are fine, and responding to meds...BUT.....they did an MRI on my shoulder, and it revealed a "SLAP" tear. That'snot good. A SLAP tear is an acronym for, Superior Labrum Anterior and Posterior. Basically it means my labrum is torn at the top,in both the front and the back, where it attaches to the bicep. Extremely painful. The worst news is this injury normally requires surgery; injury won't heal itself. I get a arthrogram MOnday that will show the extent of the tear. If not to bad, medications and therapy are an option. BUT, if severe enough, it will require surgery. Initial feelings from doc are its a tear that will require surgery...Recovery time is 6-8 weeks...
