We are trending up, but to potential recruits, they might still think we are pretenders.

Does the BIG 10 have to have a good outing for perception purposes and to get their hat in the ring in college baseball?

I think so. Their region seems to care more about hockey and wrestling though.

Man I hope we don't lay an egg. We love baseball up here, just look at our MLB teams. But our schools have not cared about baseball in years. I believe this is the start of change in the BIG 10 attitude. There are good baseball players up here. Especially in IL.

Iowa and Illinois looked pretty damn good yesterday. Iowa's pitching is solid.

    Congrats BTW, hawkit.

Was going to post that last night, but was "all in" with the Lightning-Rangers til midnight.

    Bolts didn't disappoint!

Impressive B1G showing! I think it's a big step forward for league.

Yesterday was a good day, but today and tomorrow will really show one way or another now that we get into the 2nd and 3rd starters, strong pitching is huge.

    Catch 22 for Big Ten
Do well in tournament and it could prove counter productive to argument of moving start of season back.

It moving back is something I'll believe when I see it. Would kill college age summer leagues (they don get paid). Right now those who don't make the CWS playoff play in these leagues as soon as their college season is over.

Nice game with Michigan. They were very plucky and I'm guessing we'll see them again..
