These preseason games against good teams are fun. The Vols have a lot of different pieces, so what you'll see i'll be seeing for the first time. I know that is a poor scouting job on my part. Anyway, looking forward to it.
Really looking forward ro this. I wish these two would.play more often
Louisville plays both Indiana and Tennessee next month. I don’t know what to expect, but I’m looking forward to basketball for the first time in a few seasons.
The Vols are excited about playing against two great teams.
Halftime and it's all defense and everyone is a little off offensively.. Indiana is a well put together team with a nice inside presence. These teams will look very different by midseason. The one that improves more will have a real shot to make noise in the dance.
Great game Hoosiers! There was a lot of rust on both teams especially on the offense. Both teams saw some good things, #5 for Ind is good. I don't know his name as I'm still trying to learn our names. Both teams should be looking forward to the season.
Ugly game. Myles Rice was a dude, Reneau looked good too. Tennessee played about every scholarship player and the offense just looked terribly out of sync all around most of the game. Not sure Barnes even knows his best lineup and rotations yet. Great game for both teams to get ready however. Didn't care as much about the result but players didn't look good.
Shooting improved for both teams in the 2nd half, but not to mid season form. I think Indy has a great mixture of size and perimeter shooting. They should be really good this year. We will have to wait and see with UT, but we got an upgrade at bigs for sure.
Tough to make heads or tails out of these game but was generally pleased with the play I saw from several Hoosiers. Three players out including the Sr. glue guy makes it tougher to assess. Three pt shooting was not good.

This was a glorified scrimmage where both coaches were figuring out things about their teams. The final score meant nothing.
I thought both teams looked good.
Saw Duke play some last night too, they are scary good too.
Should be a fun year.
The game was set up to play a lot of player and different line ups. It was not a do or die situation for either team to win.
I sure both teams found it beneficial. I do hope our scorers can do a better job and Indy probably hopes theirs can too.
This was my assessment. This game was FUGLY! Anyone coming away from this thinking this was two great teams is deluding themselves. So much sloppiness. So many unforced turnovers. IU has the higher ceiling IMO because of guys that didn't get to play, but woof!
I came away thinking this is what teams should look like in October.
I do think IU has better players at the top, but Linear and Ziegler are much better players than they showed last night.

Of course, they will get better. Especially IU, but anyone taking anything away from this as to where teams will finish in the rankings is using wishful thinking.
To be fair, I hold the same standard as the Purdue vs Creighton game. Both looked great offensively, but in no way does that say where they will be going forward.

Okay, thank you letting us know that we shouldn’t take much from an exhibition.
You shouldn't. Purdue lost their exhibition last year to Arkansas and look what happened there.
