Have you laughed at John Calipari today?...

I dont feel bad for him at all.

I go back and forth. He was great for a long time. And a lot of that was here. I wanted to see him go out on top. So it’s hard to watch a once great coach go out as a laughing stock instead. And i get why other fans dont like him. Hell, i don’t like him half the time. But I don’t think he’s a bad dude if i’m honest.

That said, i stop feeling bad for him when i remember he’s been making at least a top 5 salary for not even top 20 results over the last 5 seasons. And that hes made well over 9 figures for his career. he certainly doesn’t need anyone’s pity

It’s definitely nice to be able to laugh at him and he deserves it. He could change the narrative at any time, but he won’t, because draft picks are his passion. Just watch them play, it's all me-ball and it's by design.

Just like De'Aaron Fox said "Cal don't care about winning college basketball games". Well, turns out, he was right.

I hope he loses every game from here on out and is in the green room at the draft, laughing it up with Fland and Thiero. "Greatest night in Arkansas history baby".

Calipari & Kentucky was always a marriage of convenience. Calipari wanted to use UK to get players to the league, nothing wrong with that. Kentucky fans want to win at all costs, nothing wrong with that. For a decade that was a potent combination and put fear in the CBB world. Alas, when the wins stopped coming, but players were still cycling thru to the league and divorce became inevitable. I have no animosity towards Calipari, there are too many good memories to spoil how bad it got at the end. I'm also not sorry he's gone, as I prefer Pope in almost every way to Cal.

I actually feel bad for him. Cal is a good guy and did a lot for UK. Was the first couple of losses funny? Yea but you can look at him now and see that he’s embarrassed and don’t really know what to do. I wish he would’ve retired from UK and called it a career. While I’ll always be grateful for his time at UK I am glad he left. It was time.
