Has a conference ever lost 5 tourney games in the same day?

I am sure it has happened in the 1st round before, but it’s actually amusing that this time it’s in the 2nd round. B1G has a lot of decent and somewhat good teams, but no great teams this year. Their highest seeded teams were two 3 seeds, and that should tell enough about the story.

Apparently they were underseeded and the SEC was overseeded.

The SEC was lucky to get only 6 invited, otherwise they would have lost more than 6 in the first weekend.

I can recall a few times that the MWC has had 4 teams in the dance. What year did they have 5 all lose on the same day?
This year's all 5 teams lost in the first round. 4 in the Dance and USU in the NIT

Don't think the OP was intending to include other tournaments with his question. And looks like USU lost on a Tuesday.

5 schools have lost in the same round before (I know the 2011 Big East lost 5 games in the 2nd round). Just not sure if it's ever happened on the same day. If Purdue lost, it would have been five schools in the same conference in one day.
