Wonder why Tyler is so defensive about it? Why after all of this time would it matter anyway to him?
The story is pretty mild and uneventful, which in turn also makes it pretty unbelievable to think THAT’S what someone is just going to completely concoct
We know Wall is not being completely honest based on the timeline of events he gave but Wall has never really been honest when it comes to the UNC situation. But overall who cares. It's not a big deal IMO.

IIRC, I thought it was all about Williams not recruiting shady ppl from shady places. Message board fodder never lined up with the fact Wall visited.

Wasn't Tyler's mom a whore? Seems like I remember reading something about that during the other scandals and it played a part in his staying all 4 years.

Tami Hansbrough, the mother of former North Carolina basketball All-America Tyler Hansbrough, resigned her position as a school fundraiser Wednesday as the school continued to study trips she took with Matt Kupec, UNC's vice chancellor for university advancement.
Kupec, a former Tar Heels quarterback, resigned Sunday night after an internal review showed he had charged personal trips with Hansbrough to the university. Hansbrough had been placed on administrative leave.

Seems more baseless than Anthony Davis taking money.
Maybe, maybe not but UK fans throw stones at others when these same questions come up about other teams.

Just found UNC’s official investigation release on the matter;
“School officials stated ‘ after a lengthy and thorough investigation, our committee has determined that Hansborough’s mom’s just a whore. Tyler was a wonderful ambassador for the university and basketball program . . . but let’s face it, she’s given more rides then Greyhound. Tyler chose not to participate in the investigation of that skank.”
I have a few friends who are real close in the AAU circles here in NC. Roy got in the Wall recruiting late and he prepped at WOG, it was a shaky school back then but they never heard about Wall getting any money from Memphis/Cal/UK.

NIL was a thing well before calipari. He just became very good at it. Recruits and college players have been made for 70-80 years now
Why would it matter? Probably because John Wall just accused him of being an a-hole and Hansbrough is defending himself.

I think this whole story is hilarious. You have john wall. A guy that’s never been afraid to stretch the truth and then you have the ultimate try hard meat head Tyler hansborough on the other side. Odds are the truth is in between both of them. Good theatre though
