I don't really follow, but I might a little more this year. I picked arsenal and shalke several years ago, though, so those are my clubs.

Liverpool is my club. New signings so far Naby Keita, Fabinho and Shaquiri. Looks like a Alison Becker is in the bag for the Reds with new record fee for a keeper.

Things are looking very good for Liverpool.

    Arsenal very good so far.

New manager: Unai Emery, previously with PSG and Sevilla

    new signings:
Bernd Leno - GK from Bayer Leverkusen
    Matteo Guendouzi - DMF
    from Lorient
Stephan Lichtsteiner - DF from Juventus
Sokratis Papastathopoulos DF from Borussia Dortmund
    Lucas Torreira - DMF
    from Sampdoria

Took care of our needs at DF and MF. I look for Cech to retire soon, maybe take up a position as GK coach. He's had a great career at Chelsea and Arsenal, but is past his best.

I look forward to seeing Aubameyang, Lacazette and Mkhitaryan playing a full season together.

I won't be surprised if they announce it soon as well as Donnarumma to Roma, as AC Milan just signed Pepe Reina from Napoli.

Honestly I wonder what Shaquiri can bring to LFC.
To me, he is the type that functions well only in smaller clubs.
Naby Keita looks like a good buy.
    Have no idea about Fabinho.
And I don't know how Klopp can fit all these offensive-minded players in his formations.

Your boys will be surpassing Chelsea for sure and perhaps Tottenham if they don't make any moves to improve. No chance Cech moves back to Chelsea?

Shaqiri is coming as cover for Mane and Salah, he'll be fine as a winger to rest those guys over the season. Keita will be a superstar and Fabinho will push Henderson for DM as a direct replacement for Emre Can. Liverpool should make another deep run in the Champions League and compete for League and FA Cups as well. It's all about depth which has been lacking. Still need a playmaking forward, hoping the Nabil Fakir talks resume.

Only if Courtois leaves in the next month, and even then it would be a short term fix for them.

Spurs haven't had any new signings that I know of.

On a separate note, West Ham (who I have some affection for) has been doing ok. They have a good manager in Pellegrini, and have made some solid, though not world beating, signings.

Andy Carroll hurt himself climbing in a window while late for curfew during training. RollLaughRollLaugh
That's a West Ham thing to do.

Shaqiri is great when he's on, the problem in the past was his ego. He left Inter for Stoke because he wasn't playing all the time.

Yeah, it's a running joke with Hammers fans about Carroll and his injuries. But as my West Ham friend says "at least he keeps our physios employed" LaughingLaughingLaughing

More like a very Andy Carroll thing to do.
A few years ago, I thought he'd grow into an Alan Shearer.

Here's the thing. Shaqiri is the equivalent of high-usage, ball hog in basketball. He has to be the man to do well. He could be that with Stoke, but not with LFC.

At 13mil you can take a flyer on Shaqiri. He has to know what he's getting into with Klopp and I'm sure he's not expecting to be first 11. He will probably start League Cup games and early FA Cup games. Your wingers will miss games too, it just happens and if he's a problem in the locker room he'll get banished like Sahko did.

It's like Mahrez going to City, who is making way for him? He's going to be a sub.

He's in Liverpool today for medicals. We haven't had a great goalkeeper since Pepe's prime.

Leicester City have agreed a £10m fee with Liverpool for goalkeeper Danny Ward, Sky Sports News understands.

The Foxes are looking to provide serious competition for Kasper Schmeichel, who has been their regular starter since his arrival at the club at the start of the 2011-12 season.

Maybe prepping for him to move since I've heard several clubs in England and Europe have been sniffing around.

This is from TalkSport so who knows

Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race to sign Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain, even though Chelsea have been hoping to wrap up a deal for the Argentina international. (Corriere Della Sera)

Brazil star Neymar will reportedly turn down Real Madrid to stay at Paris Saint-Germain – as long as the French champions continue to give him the ‘VIP treatment’. (El Pais)

Barcelona are willing to offer Ousmane Dembele to Chelsea as part of a player plus cash deal in order to sign Belgium forward Eden Hazard from the Blues this summer. (Sport)

New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri wants to sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, as well as striker Higuain – but he will NOT be able to land the Napoli players he would like to being to Stamford Bridge due to an unofficial “non-aggression transfer pact” with his former club. (Evening Standard’s Tom Collomosse)

Italian defender Rugani, 23, has already agreed personal terms at Stamford Bridge. (Sky Sports Italia)

The Blues are also leading the race to sign Aleksandr Golovin from CSKA Moscow after the 22-year-old’s impressive performances for Russia at the World Cup. (football.london)

Not sure Higuain would be worth what Juve will ask (even though they basically got him for free). His stats look good at first, but iof you look closely, most of his goals for Napoli and Juve came against smaller teams. He tends to disappear in big games and against good competition, doesn't have a lot of goals against Milan, Inter, Roma etc.

And I really can't see Levy spending that kind of cash to be honest, so IF he comes to the EPL, my bet would be Chelsea.

Eh, Lovren was better than Vida. And we still need another attacking midfielder. Ox is done for the whole season. If not Fakir they still need one more.

Is BvB going to try to get Batman permanently from Chelsea? Just read that Ancelotti wants him at Napoli.

Seeing a few conflicting things online, but some say BVB have given up on Batman and turned their attention toward Mandzukic from Juve. With Ronaldo's arrival there, his opportunities could suddenly become limited, possibly putting him on the market.

They'll get rid of Higuain (not really a fan favorite) before they do Mandzukic since unlike Gonzalo, Mario shows up and comes through in big games, not just with goals but assists.

Lovren has never been consistently great. So he did it for a month, once. We have a premier league season as well as FA cup and Champions league to think about. Vida is better than Lovren and it's not even close.

Vida ain't coming to Liverpool but we need another CB. Matip is made of paper and Gomez isn't ready yet.
