I was driving to work this morning. Heard a Pfizer commercial for the booster on the radio and couldn’t help but laugh. Still endorsing it, words similar to “the vaccine effectiveness decreases over time, make sure you stay safe!”

I am trying to think of one other vaccine I’ve ever had where I have to get it 4 times a year. That’s crazy, right?

I wonder how many "no's" eventually caved and got it?

I never did but for reasons unrelated to politics. Never got covid either.

Can anyone explain to me like I'm full potato on how libsoftictok is guilty of stochastic terrorism?

We all know her shtick. How is retweeting others videos so harmful.

Open f'ng ears.

Here's to laughing at you people who paid off your student loans because that's what you agreed to do. And you parents who busted your ass and saved money to send your kids to college so they wouldn't have to take out a loan they couldn't pay off. This administration continues to spit in the faces of hard working Americans. What a joke.

I'd be ok with half that for paying ours off early.

It really is unbelievable how bad they have been.

Now we all get to pay for it, yayyyyy!!!

There’s no way a democrat wins in 2024. They have done everything possible to look bad and ensure a republican president.
A Democrat didn't win in 2020 either, that's just what the polls said (after a mysterious "glitch" suddenly gave thousands of votes to Biden and none to Trump in critical swing states at 3 AM when they thought nobody was watching). We won't even mention all the ballots that were thrown away by the truckloads, all republican votes of course, and the record-breaking amount of unverifiable mail-in votes. 🤔

Remember, everybody went to bed on Election night thinking there was no way that Trump loses the election. 🤣

Never discount shenanigans.

One of the best things I have ever witnessed was the 2016 election. Libs wake up shitting rainbows and pissing sunshine while skipping to the polls. Every "news" channel you flip to is all smiles and laughs throughout the day. Fast forward to early evening when the numbers are rolling in and the tide begins to turn. The tone does a complete 180 and everyone is losing their shit, media acting as if the world is ending right in front of them. Legit seemed like some of those folks were gonna commit suicide on live TV. The live rally shots of the masses of libs crying was so hilarious. They thought they were gonna be there to party. It was a magical night! 😂 I have no doubt that is the very moment they vowed to steal the 2020 election, as they so obviously did.

It'd be pretty cool if we got vehicle loan forgiveness too. Sure, I agreed to the terms of the contract knowing that things might change preventing me from being able to live up to my end of the agreement. But why should I be responsible for paying my dues? Hell, why not mortgage forgiveness?

Lol

Absolutely. Outside of your personal benefit, you do see how this is socialistic bullshit though, right? And how totally unfair it is to people who honored their debt that they voluntarily accepted? Other than a few more dollars out of my income going to uncle sam, it doesn't really affect me. So obviously I will be okay. It's just bullshit, that's all.

Bullshit is government student loans with higher fixed interest rates than my mortgage and auto loan combined. Hopefully that gets addressed too.

Maybe they should address the interest rates instead of all out forgiveness? Again, you know the rates when you accept the loan. I know that my sarcastic comparison is apples to oranges. But it's still bullshit for tax payers to foot the bill for a loan they didn't accept. I feel like you agree. But you personally gain from this so you let it slide. And I am not judging you for that. In fact, good for you! I just don't know where it ends outside of being a full blown socialist country.

My forgiveness is less than what I’ve paid on interest in 5 years. Paying 6% on government direct loans when my mortgage and auto loan combine for under 6% is asinine.

To be fair, ideally your college education will lead to higher income. Whereas your mortgage and your vehicle loan will not. But if it is the interest rate that is the issue, then why not start there instead of all out forgiveness?

Either way, it's not something that I can control. I am just spitting words on the internet.

The forgiveness is pennies on the dollar to a lot of the interest people have paid. Basically it’s us getting some of the interest they’ve raped us on back.

I’d venture to guess that I’ve got about $15,000 in payments and my principal balance is $10,000 more than what I actually borrowed.

That is not in any way, shape, or form a sustainable model for the country to invest in human capital.

And the whole “yOu ChOsE tO gO tO cOlLeGe” argument is stupid. The health care system is already working on skeleton crews. Imagine losing half (or probably ally more than half) of that workforce now because they needed student loans to get into the health care field.

I don’t think I should be getting my college paid for. Make me pay it back but stop charging such ridiculous interest on loans the workforce has to take out for society to sustain.

I mean, when you go to college and pay for it via student loans, the idea is for it to pay off through a lucrative job opportunities. Some people get jobs that pay well enough to pay their debts off before the interest piles up. Some people don't. Just like any other contractual agreement, it's a gamble.

The important part here is that tax payers are footing the bill. That, and it is a huge spit in the face to the people who have already paid their debt and to the parents who worked hard to avoid having their children be in the situation. Fix the interest, sure.

Hail, I do get what you're saying about the interest and what you have paid on it being more than what the forgiveness amounts to. But that's not anyone else's problem.

You left out those who joined the military to help pay.
