After the Florida Gators had defeated the North Carolina Tarheels in the 2024 Jumpman Classic, 90-84,
the Gators (11-0, 4-0 in ACC) have been declared as the ACC Champions based on this seasons' results:

Florida at Florida State: 87-74
Florida -(neutral) Wake Forrest : 75-58
Florida - (N) Virginia: 87 - 69
Florida -(N) North Carolina: 90 - 84

Other noteable wins by UF:
- Wichita State (N): 88-51
- Arizona St (N): 83 - 66

===================== Go Gators!! Chomp! Chomp! ==============================================

After being somewhat tested in the non-conference & clinching the ACC-title,
Florida will soon open up in conference play against the following opponents in the
Gators' quest for the 2025 SEC "SEC! SEC!"-Championship:
(It just "means more" when you chant "SEC" 3x, :) )

at # 4 Kentucky
#1 Tennessee
(also 11-0)

at Arkansas, Missouri,
Texas, at South Carolina, Georgia

at #1 Tennessee, Vanderbilt
at #2 Auburn, at Miss St

S. Carolina, #14 Oklahoma (also 11-0)
at LSU, at Georgia, #12 Texas AM

at #6 Alabama
#17 Ole Miss
==========================================================================================

It won't be that easy to win the SEC as # 7 Florida (11-0, 4-0, 0-0) will have to take on
five top-6 teams (many of them on the road without a return trip to Gainesville)
and three more top 20/top 15 teams.

Has the SEC ever been this strong?

=======================================================================================

As of this week, twelve SEC teams are ranked in the top 41 of the Kenpom poll:

#41 Arkansas (9-2)
#39 Georgia (9-1)
#38 Oklahoma (11-0)
#37 Texas (9-2)

#27 Mississippi (10-1)
#25 Mississippi St (10-1)
#19 Texas AM (9-2)
#11 Kentucky (10-1)

#8 Alabama (8-2)
#7 Florida (11-0)
#2 Tennessee (11-0)
#1 Auburn (10-1)

Wow!

The rest of the SEC are ranked in the top 66:
So, there will be no outliers in the SEC this season.

#66 South Carolina (8-3)
#63 Vanderbilt (9-1)
#57 Louisiana St (9-2)
#50 Missouri (10-1)

Note: Missouri had defeated #1 Kansas a couple of weeks ago,
the first time Missouri had defeated a #1 team (who was Kansas) since ?1997
& 1st time defeating Kansas in many, many years.

So, how strong will the SEC be from top to bottom?
From Top-to-Bottom, the SEC is very, very strong!

The rest of y'all need to get into the weight-room & workout, lol!

Last night was the first time I have seen FL play at all this season.

They definitely love shooting threes, and they enjoyed a nice rebounding advantage over UNC (although UNC sucks at rebounding).

Was a good win, as it was essentially a road game playing in Charlotte.

They seem to have the horses to compete in the SEC. Should be a great SEC opener when FL travels to UK.

Congrats on beating your first KenPom top 50 team.
Isn't it great though?
North Carolina was the 1st team on Florida's schedule that really challenged them.
Florida was beating everyone by 15-25 points.

The Tar Heels were in position to win the game (81-77) in under five minute before Florida finished them off.

FSU (65) & Arizona St (58) are not too far away from the top 50.
Virginia (100) & Wake Forest (101) have some work to do.

Vols are also 4-0 in ACC play, so sounds like you're tied and not champions.

Outstanding. You guys are playing well and Clayton is a stud. But just how good you are remains to be seen.
That's true.

Most of the 2023-24 team is back.
Florida's perimeter core is outstanding: Walter Clayton - 18.5 ppg,
Alijah Martin (FAU transfer) - 15.5 ppg & Will Richard - 12.9 ppg.

I think last year's Florida team had a better overall front-court but this year's Florida team seems to play much better team-defense along with the outstanding scoring offense & rebounding.

==============================================================
Last year's Florida has defeated the following teams:

#13/16/19 Alabama (2 out of 3 times): L- 93-98 (OT), W-105-87, W-102-88 (SEC-Semi-F)
#12/12 Auburn (1 out of 2x ): W- 81-65, L- 67-86 (SEC-Finals; UF lost starting C: 7'2" Handlogten)

#6/10 Kentucky (1 out of 2x): L- 85-87, W- 94-91 (OT)
#6 Tennessee (0 out of 1x): L- 66-85
================================================================
All five (#1Tenn, #2Auburn, #7 Florida/#4 Kentucky & #6 Alabama) of these SEC teams seem to be the cream of the SEC again. However, a few more SEC teams are not too far off from joining them: i.e, #12 Texas AM, #14 Oklahoma, #17 Mississippi, Miss St, etc.

The chase for the SEC title is going to be a heck of a race.

More like a 13-way tie for 1st lol. The only SEC schools to even lose to an ACC school are Auburn, Kentucky, and LSU.

Oh my!
Duke got that great win over Auburn - the Tigers' only blemish this season.

Kentucky had some great wins (Gonzaga, Duke) only to be tripped up to Clemson of all teams.
However, South Carolina got some measure of payback against the Clemson Tigers.

And finally, LSU takes it on the chin twice: Pittsbugh & SMU.
LSU did take down FSU - too bad seminoles, lol!

Vols are also 4-0 in ACC play, so sounds like you're tied and not champions.

Florida & Tennessee will have to settle the issue on the court.

The SEC decided to give Florida & Tennessee two regular season games but unfortunately for the Gators,
we get only one-game against Kentucky after decades of having a H/A series - how short sighted of the SEC!

Auburn? Impossible.

Are you trying to set me up for the spike on this one? Okay, well, a certain team had something to do with Auburn's only loss.

None are obviously NCAA regional titles!

Not sure. Cocks have won titles in 3 conferences & 2 NITs.
Your team is a .500 team, year in and year out. You have only been ranked in the polls 9 times in your history. We are ranked #1 right now.

Sorry about your playoff hopes, but it turns out getting your ass beat is a non qualifier. Shame, cause y'all do that so well.

Idiot. And everyone agrees.

You're only qualified to speak for your fellow perverts, so don't get carried away. At least y'all picked a prey animal as your mascot. That took some forethought, I'll give you credit for that.

To be fair, the FSU/UF game was 77-73 with 2 min and change to go. Seems like that’s at least a little bit of a challenge. But yes, UF has looked excellent.

UF is certainly at least the second best team in the ACC. If not the best.
