Final 4

Watch your whore mouth!!!!🤨

Can we get better refs?
I feel what they've been doing a lot is eating the whistle more in the first half so when they call it a little more text book late there will still be players left.

I mean that likely would help our opponents bc we generally have bodies to throw in, but I'd still rather see starters playing. When we got 6 fouls in the first 4 min in the second half I thought we were cooked NGL. They definitely made a bunch of make up calls. Then shit just hit the fan.

It's just like when we lost in the Elite 8 to Villanova who went on to win it all.

You really have to have some bounces come your way to win in March. When it does you have to enjoy every second of it. Because it might not ever happen again (at least with us poors aka non blue bloods)

I mean y'all got 3 now.

I would rather them just be consistent. Also when you call like 5 to 10 straight fouls on a team it messes up momentum.

Refs shouldn't manufacture a close game. Just be consistent and let players decide.

Agreed 100% on consistency. If they'd have called it crazy tick tack like they did in the second half who knows how many bodies are left in this game. It would however benefit us IMO.

It's funny bc they call some fouls that are crazy weak and then miss obvious ones.

How many big12 vs big 12 games were there though? Take 2 wins and 2 losses away from SEC for UK-UT and Fl- Auburn.

None when you only get 7 teams and they always make one of your conference in the last 4 out its easier to avoid. You know instead of 14 from one conference.

Yeah but what I mean to say is for winning percentages when you have teams play each other it will always bring it down (or up if you're below .500) The fact it's even close with 13 guaranteed losses is crazy.

Could be worse bud. You could've started the season 38-0 with one of the best rosters assembled in CBB history and lost to some white dudes from Wisconsin.
Yeah I guess, but you guys didn't lead by double digits 90% of the game just to shit the bed with a minute left.

I was thinking that it’s a shame last night and the Duke game came down to some questionable calls

I don't understand how the refs call only four combined fouls in a very, very physical first half...then they turn around and call 23 combined fouls in the second half.

There is just no consistency in how refs call games. I appreciate how challenging it is to referee basketball, but to be that lopsided from half to half must make it impossible for players to get comfortable playing. Very annoying to watch, as well.

here's what happened. Florida started out the 2nd half committing a bunch of obvious fouls. Refs called them. At one point the foul totals in the 2nd half were 5-0. Refs saw this and decided they needed to even it out so they started blowing non stop fouls against Houston. Houston got screwed in this trade off because 2 key players ended up in early foul trouble. By then it was too late, refs had called so many fouls that we were already in the bonus.

My take: Florida actually won this game by committing all those fouls early in second half forcing refs to change the way the game was being whistled which gave Florida the advantage late.

Congrats on the title. I wasn't sold on your squad till I saw them in the SEC tournament. You guys were truly the best team.
