Early Entries Thread

Thanks OP. It's that time of year for early entries and transfers. It makes it easy to have it in one place.

Lindell Wigginton, Iowa State. Selfishly hoping he doesn't go, we will be top 25ish next year if he returns.

Damn! Hope he comes back. Kid is a stud, and I’d love for KU to compete against him again next year. My favorite player on ISU’s roster.

Damn. Sad list of alot of names that should stay in school and get a degree.
Most probably will. Declaring for the draft doesn't mean much anymore. Doesn't hurt to at least get evaluated and get feedback.

We should change this to ONLY people declaring AND hiring an agent. As the previous post said, a lot of these guys will go back to school because they aren't good enough

That’s a big blow. Really sucks

Yeah, but Terps have a 5 star recruit to recruit him. If nobody else leaves early and Terps maybe gets Owens from St. Johns, still can be a good season coming up....

WSU guard Landry Shamet indicates he will declare and sign with an agent. A little bit surprised because I’m not sure he is a first rounder. He also looked terrible in there first round loss this year. Couldn’t even bring the ball up the court. On the flip side I’m not sure how much he can improve his stock either. Pretty big loss, especially after Marshall let 4* PG LoMax out of his LOI.

Like you said, I don't think he can improve his stock. By the end of the year I felt he was the most overrated player in the country. Lots of hype, but all he ever did was lose big games this year.

Definitely didn’t live up to the hype. He has a great shot but many times this year he was extremely careless/lazy with the ball. Really the whole team was extremely poor this year didn’t live up to the hype of having 6 seasons who have played a ton of minutes at WSU.

I agree. People talk about teams that were big disappointments this year and you always hear the names Minnesota, Northwestern, USC etc, but no one ever says Wichita State. Granted they ended up a #4 seed so hard to put them with those other teams, but I followed them closely and they really seemed to just sputter along all season.

Start of the year they looked good and the talk was oh just wait till McDuffie comes back they are going to be great. McDuffie came back and nothing, the team didn't get any better and possibly got worse.

At the start of the year they looked like a serious F4 contender and by the end of the year did anyone really think they were gonna get past WVA in the second round? I know I didn't.

I was really let down by this team and especially Shamet. For a guy who was hyped as one of the elite PG's in CBB, he didn't do much to lead his team when it mattered.

Totally agree - not sure how much stock people put in KenPom but they were 13th last year in both offensive and defensive efficiency, brought basically everyone back and ended up 4th and 110th. Most people picked WVU making the sweet 16 over them while last year, they might have been a frisky pick to beat Kentucky in second round and were a pretty easy choice over 7 seed Dayton

I gotta admit, I dont even know at least two or three of these players name. Good luck to them...

WVU's Konate testing the waters but not hiring an agent.

Projected as a top 15 pick in 2019 by nbadraft.net
