Did Auburn indeed have the best back court in America?

They were pretty impressive in the SECT and NCAA.

I'll take Jerome and Guy over Harper and Brown.

AU's back court is very good though.

I just wish we had Okeke against y’all which would have taken pressure off Bryce and jared.

Jerome also played completely out of his ass in the final 4. Well above his normal level.

They were one of the best.
An Auburn fan made that claim earlier in the year and was ridiculed unmercifully. Just wanted to see if his detractors would own it and make amends.

Brown looked like the best player in the country against KU and Kentucky.

Just clowning defenders.

I look at it as more of Shabazz Napier & Ryan Boatright pt. 2.

Two good players that got hot at the right time.

“Best” is debatable.

Would be nice if you would make amends to UK fans Della.

KL, I'm pretty much just a sweet and humble fan. Any shot I may have taken against UK would have been a purely defensive shot, so no.

That's what alphas do. He stepped up when it mattered most. I'd rather him play above his head in the two most important games of the season than anytime else.

Hard to say either “got hot at the right time” when both essentially did the same thing all season. Their performances in the SECT and NCAAT were consistent with their play during the season. I think the better argument is the guys around them got hot at the right time. Okeke really came on in February and March. And the role players all started contributing at a very high level the last month of so of the season.

Just imagine if we actually had a healthy Okeke, Wiley, and Mclemore at the end of the year. Wiley is still only about 70% of what he once was and I expect Mclemore to finally get back to 100% with a full year of rehab.

Crazy that all three will probably be back..

On the subject at hand, Bryce and Jared were damned good. They were special and self made men who didn’t really get recruited by anyone at all. Bryce only had a few D1 offers and neither of them were offered by anyone in their own state of Georgia.

If I was a guard, I’d want to play in Bruce’s system everyday...

I was super drunk during that elite 8 game. Remind me, what happened?

Bryce and Jared combined for 50 in that game. I think half of Jared’s cane at the FT line. Bryce was 6-6 from the floor in the second half.

Bryce was a 41% 3-point shooter for the season who shot 43% in the SECT and NCAAT. Harper was a season-long 37% 3-point shooter who shot 33% during the two tournaments. They both scored 20+ points at least 9 times each this season. Harper has 3 of his 12 in the tournaments. Brown had 2 of his 9 20+ point games in the two tournaments.
