Is going to Pullman WA for the first time ever, as Oregon plays Washington State. Both teams are 5-1.

I think NC State is still unbeaten and they’re playing Clemson.

Yeah, I was just looking for games that could have competed with Wazzu/UO. Not a lot of big games next Saturday.

Pullman will burn to the ground.

And, future #1 draft pick Herbert will throw for 500 yds, against a bad Wazzu D.
The game will be a Track meet.
The O/U will start around 77 1/2 or so.

nice to see they go to different places and not the same old same old places year after year after year. Boring to see them in the same venues every year. New places will get more students participating. Most repeat places are been there done that and enthusiasm/energy is low.

They have only been to Clemson 5 times and the last was 2 years ago. I had seen a report that because it is home coming at Clemson Bowman field where Game Day always sets up would not be available. It is going to be full of floats, activities and the Habitat for Humanity house display.

    yes, they will -
his name is Tom, an engineer who lives down in ABQ New Mexico.
He started the whole weekly routine about 16- 17 yrs ago or so.

One rumor - would he be the Guest Picker?
Possibly and very likely Drew Bledsoe is the top option, it is Drew's gig if he wants it,
But if not Drew, then the Tom the Flag guy might be next option for being the weekly Guest.

Wait so he actually goes to each game day and holds up that flag? I thought he mailed it to people or it was always just a random person

    Mind=blown

I thought it was one guy who started it. He would go to all the game days. Then other WSU alumni wanted to get involved and now it's whoever is close in the network of people who are willing to do it.

I think the only time I actually see any part of Gameday anymore is when I tune the channel early for whatever matchup I am looking for...

No, I did not say that.
The Tom dude in NM started it 17+ yrs ago, he organizes it,..... he and his buds are the leaders, the organizers.....thru alumni groups, they email and FB all the regions and cities where it travels, etc

They FedEx the Flags each week ( there are up to 3 or 4 total flags, depending how many volunteers they find each week), they FedEx them around the nation each week when they find their people.

We have done it a few times over the years; in South Bend, Iowa City and Madison, and Evanston.

They do, regionally,..... there is a large group in CHIC and Indy and we do most of B1G area, and South Bend., and some of Big12 too.
They are FedEx'd weekly, around the nation.

Hope they get Rueben Mayes and Steve Gleason in on the act. Mayes had that epic game vs. the Ducks...357 yards rushing!

Gleason is another hot rumor for Guest Picker, he is nearby in Spokane. He would have to have his wife or a handler up on stage with him, since he cannot speak....
It would be kinda cool, but very awkward too.
Too awkward for this show? probably,

But somehow a Gleason special or segment will be on the show, they will visit him in Spokane even if he is not there that morning. Sounds like a Tom Rinaldi segment, usually he does those teary eyed segments they do every week.

Mayes is a great call - he might be there - and also might be the guest speaker, as he lives in Eugene OR now, so that would be perfect. After football, he got his Masters degree, MBA or MPA and is like a hospital administrator or something along those lines, based out in the Eugene area.
