If he stays awhile, with Purdue in the weaker division of the Big Ten, he very possibly could lead them to multiple conference championship appearances and maybe more.

PS-Louisville might open up soon. But that wouldn't be a better job than the one he currently has.

I would love to see him stay think he could build a decent 7-8 win team on a yearly basis and battle NW for 2nd place in the west, don't see nebraska overtaking them.....

I like what Brohm is doing there and if he hangs around he could easily build Purdue into the west's version of MSU. Brohm kinda reminds me of a Dantonio but with a propensity to take more chances. Hope he sticks around, solid coach building a program the right way.

Think he sticks around long enough for a bigger job. I don't think Louisville is a bigger job.

I could see him ending up at a top 15 type school though. He is pretty good both on the recruiting trail and the development trail

Maybe for your Irish. He is a Catholic School grad, and it could be a special feeling for him to go coach at a Catholic Institution.

He keeps building like he is and that might be a thing. I do think he is a heck of a coach, but want to see a lot more of him before we talk like that.

Personally I would like to see a defensive minded coach, but whatever.

    Well, Mike, peep this.

Nebraska leads the series with Purdon't 4-2 since joining the B1G.

We out-yarded them in this year's game....only reason we didn't go to OT with'em is 2 turnovers led to the 14 point margin.

Purdue has to overtake US, just like Io_a & NW.

Slow down now. The coaches of the BIG West will figure him out.

Now, if he can up the recruiting, I would be willing to agree with you.

And Purdue is a much better destination that Louisville.

Purdue as a job has way more upside. The Big 10 is loaded with cash and everyone is upgrading like crazy. And the West is wide open yearly. Wisconsin's run is over.

    I understand.

However home is where the Heart is.
Its why he got into coaching. To be Head Coach at UofL one day.

    The time is now.
And UofL will pay whatever he wants.
The finances always work themselves out.

I could see that. Frost and Nebraska are different though. Nebraska is a huge brand. No disrespect to Louisville.

If you want a magic trick, watch uofk football.

If doesnt come in December, he's just putting it off himself.

    You know it.

There will be an opening. He is the only candidate to be interviewed just like with Coach Mack for basketball.

Its you Purdue guys who will be ghost.
    Hardly see you guys anyway.
You guys have posted more against Brohm leaving than your team play this year.

    Its inevitable.........

No horse in this race. But Louisville fans will collectively loose their shit if he doesn't leave Purdue for Louisville this offseason.

I think it'll come down to money. Brohm would rather be at UofL in a perfect world, I don't think that's debatable. But with all of the other issues UofL is dealing with right now, they're going to need to guarantee him some stability with contract years and make it financially worth his while to just dip out on Purdue. If he's going to win, he can do it just as easily at either school. No idea what he's making, what Petrino is making, and what UofL could afford to offer him.

Ive asked before on here who UofL would realistically go get if Brohm said no and the only answers I got where "we want Brohm." Well, no shit. But what if?

And how does it look firing the most successful coach in your history after only one down year?

Maybe you missed the fact that I'm a Kentucky fan....why the hell would I defend UofL? I hope it looks terrible on them.

I get your point, but Brohm isn't some outsider they'd be trying to attract. I'm just telling you straight up, as a guy without a horse in the race, if all things were equal he'd pick UofL. But they aren't right now, and if it weren't to his connections to the school this wouldn't even be a discussion, he'd stay at Purdue. Hell, IMO, he should, because outside of Frost building up Nebraska, Wisconsin seems like the real potential annual thorn in his side. It's no secret the B1G West is easier than the East.

Well yeah, I get your point and I agree, I'm just saying these aren't the usual circumstances. He can be just as successful at either school, it's all the intangibles that will come in to play when the time comes. And you can bet discussions are happening back channel right now.

What's scary is if he stays he's got a top 25 class coming in. Last year's class was #51, the year before that it was #73. Those are the kids he's currently winning with, imagine what he'll do with a couple top 25 classes. Again, scary to think about. The rest of the B1G West better take notice and get their shit together.

This next class is already ranked #22 (rivals) / #23 (247).

I would say that qualifies as "upping the recruiting".

If we get David Bell (I'd say it's down to us or PSU) than expect us to cement that Top 25 class for 2019.

Things got so bad for you guys, I was convinced you would never be good again. There were some real bad hires.

If you’ve been following Louisville’s trend at all, you’d see that every year that more of Strongs guys graduated, our team got weaker. They’re all gone now, so is Lamar, Petrino has us at the bottom now.

Why would Milton Wright commit to Purdue if there was any uncertainty about Brohm’s future at Purdue and plan to sign in December?

The fact that Louisville hasn't sacked BVG yet should be a criminal case against the HC for manslaughter of a program. That guy is just terrible.

    He's committing to the Coach.
If Louisville didnt SuCk , he'd be going to UofL.

If Brohm came out and said, " yeah im going to UofL" in December, he'd be Bill Freider(ed) immediately.

Brohm will be named and he'll sit with every player, everyone who verbaled to UofL and Purdue, and every potential recruit.

Lol... just be glad Jurich helped UofL cheat enough to allow you to strike gold and end up in the ACC.

UofL fans still are reluctant to accept the fact that era is now over.

Spotlight is on you. The university is spiraling.

I dont think you will be landing so softly with Mack (FBI, Bluitt) or post Petrino (14mm buyout).

Where is Papa John when you need him?
