that could be the dumbest thing i have ever heard....
why? They're letting everyone know if they got into the tournament and then showing the brackets/matchups... what is the problem?

Hadn't they been scooped the past 2 years?

I look forward to not watching and seeing the brackets leaked during the show.

People keep ****ing with a good thing. Just keep it the way it was before Turner got involved.

Anything to extend the amount of time people will be tuned in, a few years ago they got a lot of kick back for basically not releasing anything for a half hour to fill 2 hours and I think also the bracket leaked, so I guess this is the solution. Greedy.

Not sure why the NBA crew needed to get involved when Turner became part of the deal. Turner should have just basically said "CBS you do what you always do, and now you have 3 extra networks to funnel ratings to". Obviously there will be a back and forth over who gets which games and when, but the end of the day Turner should not have forced an NBA crew to cover Lipscomb basketball and start messing with the selection show process.

If it is not broke, why fix it? Nothing is more dramatic than watching them go through the bracket when your team is on the bubble and the regions are announced one by one and you are trying to keep track of the likely seeds for your team and you slowly start to realize things aren't looking good.

It may backfire in holding viewers. If I see that my bubble team is not in the 68, I'm turning off the TV.

I think the bubble audience is secondary, the majority of the audience is fans of the bigger schools looking to see how the draw favors or hurts their team.

I think that will really come back to bite them in the ass when 1 region is far tougher than the rest. The Regions are supposed to be on an S curve but we all know that never happens.

Wouldn't that hurt their ratings? Any fan watching whose team isn't included in the first 2 minutes will turn it off.

The best part of Selection Sunday is the nail biting bubble teams getting in and their elation or getting left out and their dismay.

Northwestern has never made the tourney before and they were not called until the last region...it was high suspense.

NCAA is for some reason ruining the best part of their selection show.

Well see how it works, I doubt they're just going to anticlimatically throw up a graphic of 1-68 for all teams and then move on to something else. I think they open the show by announcing the numbers 1s, BS about that for 5 mins, go to commercial, talk about the teams that are sweating it out, then announce the First Four 1 by 1, show the teams who made it celebrating, go to commercial, show the field 1-68 and then begin announcing the matchups like usual. Wouldnt be the worst way to go about it.

Absolutely. It was fun to watch them go piece by piece. Sucks the drama out of it to just list all the teams

Release the brackets first then show teams 1-68. I think it will be stupid to do the other way. I want to see the matchups first and then they can show us how they came to form these brackets.
