Ryan Fitzpatrick is going bonkers. Best QB in the League so far. Dropped 48 on the Saints week one. Now we take down the Super Bowl Champs.

    2-0, first in the Division.

If Fitz keeps playing like this next week, we're gonna have to bench Jameis.

Offense is the Juggernaut... Defense played great today too.

    Go Bucs!

I'm in bizarro world... The Noles suck and the Bucs are the sh*t.

Yep, time to deal Jameis. Guy is a mouthbreathing idiot and a below average QB.

I couldn't believe everyone saying they would definitely lose the first 4 without Winston, as if having him gave them a better chance to win. Fitz isn't great but he gives them the best chance to win.

And Mike Evans had a very off day. The new OC is a revelation.

Still need more pass rushers though.

Winston needs to sit. Don't mess with the chemistry.

I’m not sure how long Fitz can keep this going but Jameis needs to sit the bench until Fitzmagic is over.

Something people seem to be overlooking is how much better the playcalling has been with Todd Monken running things instead of Koetter. Huge improvement!

I would not give up on Winston. Very happy with the start. Offense looks explosive.

Could be the best thing for Winston to watch this guy a while. Everyone knows a 36 year old Fitzpatrick is not the future but by all means ride that tiger till he inevitably reverts to form. If that’s all year so be it. In a couple of weeks teams will adjust and we will see what happens

    Completely agree.
I say this as a huge Gator fan. I'm a big believer in Winston. Jamies is still only 24. Put all the QB's under 25 in a draft room and you don't get to 5 before Winston is picked.

Fitzpatrick is spreading the ball around substantially more than Winston did. He has multiple receivers getting in on the action. I’m not sure how much longer he can keep it up but you’ve got to stick with the hot hand while you’ve got it.

Can’t bench Fitz until he cools off, which anyone who has paid attention to his 14 year career, knows it’s coming. He’s one of the streakiest QBs there is.

And no, they shouldn’t get rid of Winston. That would make sense if they had a great D and running game, but they have neither.

Laughing It takes more than great physical tools to be a good QB in the NFL. He is like a slightly more talented Geno Smith that consistently makes dumb mistakes/decisions like Geno and I say that as a WVU fan.

Saying Winston is slightly less talented than Geno Smith is a gigantic understatement. He is the second youngest QB ever to 10k yards.

He hasn’t been a great NFL QB in his first three years, which almost no QB ever has. He’s been far better than below average though. I think most don’t realize how bad most starting QBs are.

Geno Smith had 29 touchdowns his whole NFL career. He tossed more interceptions (36) than touchdowns. Puke.

Winston already has 69 touchdowns and he's only 24. Is there a QB under 25 with more? I don't think one exists but I could be mistaken.

I said slightly better than Geno in physical tools but they are always making bad decisions. They don't have the mental aspect of the game to ever win a super bowl. Throwing for a lot of yards in todays NFL doesn't mean you will be a great QB.

Winston is the smartest QB to ever come through FSU (note I said QB) and we’ve had a Super Bowl winning QB, so he certainly has the football smarts to win one.

He’ll have to cut down on the turnovers, and TB will need a few more defensive pieces for him to have a chance though. Winning a SB is hard even for many HOFers.

Hopefully Jameis can study the reads Fitz is making and learn from it. Jameis just gets antsy and tries to force things throwing into too tight of windows. And he hangs on to the ball too long...

But this OLine is protecting Fitz way better than I've seen them do for years, so that will benefit Jameis as well. And the new play calling is getting guys open more.

For now, we gotta stick with Fitzmagic, but Jameis will be back and continue to improve, he's the future... And he must outplay Fitz during practice, we just gotta see it on the field. Jameis is a top 10 QB when he plays well... But we gotta get him into top 5 range.

    ---

But looking at the Bucs schedule, if we continue to play like this I'm feeling confident that we CAN beat everyone on our schedule... Not saying we're going 16-0, but I don't see a team I'd be afraid to play right now.

And the defense should improve when Vita Vea gets healthy, hopefully this week.

Feeling good to be a Buc right now. SmokinSmile

As mentioned gotta ride Fitz while he’s hot. At the same time, maybe give Jameis a season to ride the pines as punishment for his off the field crap.

All three of the qbs lit it up this preseason with monkens play calling. I'd imagine jameis is gonna be just fine when he gets back. That said, ride fitzmagic till the wheels fall off...
