He is good but if he needed/wanted/should get more attention, he should not have gone to the U of Oregon to play college hoops.
I think he was in KC for a short time, but hated it and left for the west coast. He was at Mater Dei in CA and transferred to Findlay Prep. UK was all in on him and it eventually came down to UK and Oregon. He chose Oregon.
Good choice, if that’s all you had for options.
Oregon offered more money. Home of Nike. They can afford it. Self has to lay low for the time being.
They didn't want to pull a "Louisville ", until the news broke on Bowen, I thought it was commonsense....if you're on probation, or in the middle of a investigation, you pull back on the reigns of the paying a player wagon for at least a year.
Richards EJ and Hell even PJ now since he’s cut down. Give me all the Reid Travis’ before I see another tall skinny post player that can’t rebound or block a shot

Are we watching the same Bol Bol???? He's a toothpick who's getting physically muscled around by college kids. His only spot in the NBA is center because he's so slow. And his only skill at the next level as a 5 right now is 3 point shooting.

PJ and and Travis are totally different players than Bol Bol. Richards is the only true center on the team. We don’t gave a player comparable to that guy.
....because he can do whatever he wants on offense in the Oregon basketball program. Wouldn't be given free reign to do that in any of the top 5-10 teams.
Wat? He’s averaging more per game with higher percentage made @ 54% as true freshman at Oregon than Reid Travis did as junior at Stanford.

I tend to agree with you though I think he could have a role though as well. While IMO he won't ever be a star in the NBA, I think he could make a very nice living and be a productive player for a few years. I know that if I am a GM i wouldn't take him until late in the first round, minimum.
Agree on all that you've said. He'll get a contract and have a decent career, but in college, I think he's just in a system that allows him to do whatever he wants, take any shot he wants, handle the ball, etc. Not sure he'd get anywhere near that kind of freedom anywhere else.

It's been said in recruiting circles that Bol Bol told the UK coaching staff he wanted freedom on offense to handle the ball, shoot 3's, etc.
Highly doubt that recruit is going to tell Cal and /or his staff what he expects to do for the team and actually wind up on the UK roster.
