I don’t think they’re doing this intentionally, but they would rather be the 2 seed out west than the last 1 seed, which will be in the East.
SDSU has been doing this since they lost to UNLV. Could've easily lost the next two games to Colorado State and Nevada. Needed late 2nd half comebacks to win both. They would be the worst 1-seed since 2018 Virginia.

Committee should have taken the injury to Hunter into consideration before seeding us as a 1-seed that year. No way that team is a 1-seed without him. Also, interesting that the overall #1 seed didn't play against one of the play-in teams. NCAA conspired against us.
This actually could happen. Those Wake and State losses mean Duke will probably be the last one seed, and SDSU could be the top 2-seed.
Maybe they’re trying to throw games to play in the west, but they were so superior to the last few opponents that they couldn’t lose.
They erased a 16 point deficit with less than 5 minutes left in the 1st and were tied at halftime. Ended up covering the spread and helping win my 3-team parlay.
Would be freaking hilarious if SDSU and Duke are both placed in the East Region - and we ended up beating them in the Regional Final. Everyone would cry that we got the easiest bracket, and home court advantage.
Duke won’t be a 1 seed unless a lot weird s*** happens in the next week. And they win some games.
They’ll be a 1 if they win the acc tournament. Maybe only need to make the finals. The acc isn’t anywhere near as good as normal but the committee is made up of the duke ad, 4 people that worked for him at some point, and 2 other people with acc ties.
#12 team a 1 seed? Pretty ridiculous even for Duke. We’ll see. Don’t see them winning the ACC tourney.
