If you assign ordinal values and then add the two all five teams add up to 6. Thanks alphabet!

KU’s win rate as a higher seed is better than I expected at 80%. 82 for NC and Kentucky, 79 for Duke and 77 UCLA.

Interesting stuff. Would be interested to compare with a few other teams like Nova, Michigan State, Zona, Gonzaga, and Indiana.

This is great stuff. Not asking you to do it, but would be nice to have their opponents' seed considered for the playing to seed win%. Doesn't matter as much in the first two rounds (although a 4 v. 12 seems like a relatively common matchup), but in later rounds there can be huge swings. I wouldn't expect big differences, but there would be some movement.

(Also lol at UCLA being a blue blood anymore)

Yeah, a 2 seed losing to a 3 seed shouldn't be weighted the same as a 2 losing to a 15. Still, stats are fun.

It’s funny these programs have been a 3 seed so few games. It’s like they are either elite or non-tourney teams lol.
