Not as good as many thought. Ohio State by a lot, then everyone else. And the Buckeyes have problems/injuries on D.

I'd put Penn State on that tier with OSU now.

Last test on the schedule until the Game. Except we can't overlook anyone.

MSU slipping down to 8th in a bye week where the Big Ten got thrashed by a bunch of unranked teams. Lol. I’m glad we didn’t play at this point.

What a pathetic performer this weekend.

I'm not sure about them either to be honest. I'm kind of giving Sparty the benefit of the doubt because of how they've been as a program over the last decade. I don't necessarily think them losing to a good ASU squad in Arizona is truly indicative of the team strength. That's always been a tough game to play for a lot of teams from the Midwest, Hawkeyes included.

I think Wisconsin may be better than this, Nebraska slightly as well, and Maryland a bit worse.. but based on the results so far this is it. Big gap after #6.

Too hard to gauge right now IMO. Some teams have played harder schedules and others haven't. We're definitely in the bottom half though.

MSU defense and QB is still too good to be behind Minny/IU. We play at IU in 6 days so we will see. I think we pound them.

This conference is hot garbage though. Wisky were 23 point favorites. Temple ran Maryland off the field and was 0-2 with an fcs loss. Akron scored 39 and beat NW. Purdue 0-3. Nebraska 0-2.

It’s OSU...PSU and then everyone else right now.

Rutgers may be the worst team ever.

They lost by 41 to KANSAS.

For tOSU I kind of dread going into Happy Valley in two weeks for what I assume will be a white out game. Huge advantage for PSU but the Buckeyes handled Patterson's "everything but the kitchen sink" attack so it might help them. I'm good with tOSU and PSU being 1 and 2 but then it gets a little dicey in the middle. The usual suspects, UM, MSU, and Wisconsin fill out my top 5 but after that are questions. Not sure about Iowa and Indiana I think Iowa has a better shot at being a contender but it won't surprise me if Indiana makes some noise.

After that it's just a mess with the exception of Rutgers, they're a solid pick for last and no matter how hard others may try, I just don't see them giving up their spot.

MSU at IU next week is interesting, IU is 3-0. MSU layed an egg in the desert their last game on offense.

MSU plays IU, CMU, and NW in next 3. I expect us to be back on track and look like a good team. A loss at IU next week and the season would already be over.

The West is Iowa’s for the taking with a win over Wisky in 6 days. Wisky still has to go to UM and PSU for crossovers and they’ll go 1-1 at best

    PSU on OSUs tier?

Is OSUs D not as good as we thought or is PSUs D better?

Jury is still out on them but barely beating Utah State and losing to Arizona state is why I don't have them higher than 8th. They could easily be 0-2 right now.

Our D-line is awesome, and I felt like DB play was improved last night (w/the exception of one safety)...but man, someone needs to coach up our linebackers. They are a hot mess right now, in my opinion. The talent is there, but...

I think the IU game will be a low scoring affair and very close. It may come down to field goals.

    Yep.

Easier to gauge the conference as a whole (compared to the rest of the country) rather than the layering of teams.

I believe OSU and PSU are better than the rest (but seem to look a tad bit bored with their games played so far...a bit too sloppy so to speak), but this might be a conference chaos year in the B10.

Just a hunch but there may be a slew of 4-5 to 6-3 teams this year...like 8-9 of them. A couple 0-1 loss teams, a couple 8-9 loss teams...and a whole lot of meh in between.

Just based off of performances from both teams so far I personally think both Ds are shaky. OSU has given up bunches of points in 2 of their 3 games. For any chance of us winning we need to exploit their secondary, which will be hard because people with the last name of Bosa have traditionally reaked havoc for us up front and our receivers have been having issues with dropped passes. On the flip side, our D has been slow to start games but gets better as the game goes on. I don’t think that will work against the high octane offense OSU has.

The fact the d line is so good is pretty scary as to how the rest of the defense is performing

    Big plays especially

TCU's game plan was to get the ball out quick to players out wide. They did not want Robinson to hold the ball longer than 2-3 seconds.

By that same logic, couldn’t they just as easy be 2-0? Lol.

It really doesn’t matter either way but kind of thought that was funny.

Yes it does matter considering this was suppose to be one of the best teams in the Big Ten. 1-1 and have not looked dominant at all this year keeps them ranked lower.

Iowa's Offense is very average but their D is special. First string D has given up 3 total points through 3 games

If Bama can carry the SEC's reputation for years, then so can Ohio State for the B1G.

Nebraska is the greatest 0-2 team in the country. We'll see if we can continue our streak of out gaining our opponent but still losing next week against Michigan. I think we can do it.

No team in the conference better overlook a 3 - 0 Minny team. Fleck has the Golden Gophers glowing!
