    Albany @ Penn St.
    McNeese @ Purdue
    Molloy @ Rutgers
    Central Arkansas @ Wisky
    Ul-Lafayette @ Minnesota
    Mississippi Valley State @ Northwestern
    Howard @ Michigan
    Ohio State @ Navy
    Southeast Missouri State @ Illinois

    Michigan
    Ohio State
    Wisconsin
    Maryland
    Michigan State
    Iowa
    Purdue
    Indiana

Put those teams in a hat, jiggle it good, and then come back and pull one out at the end of the season. You'll have about a 1/8 chance of predicting the conference winner.

I wouldn't include Iowa or Maryland in that group myself.

Doubtful on Michigan, but better chance than Maryland.

    For real!

I'm just going to assume that Iowa is going to begin 10-0 every year in Big Ten play until it doesn't happen.

Maryland, you might be right on. But that's how much stock I put in a guy like Trimble.

OK, Michigan might be a stretch to win the conference. I still think they'll be pretty good though. Walton, Irvin, Rahkman, and Robinson is a nice perimeter group. Donnal is a solid big and Moritz Wagner showed some promise last year. Maybe not conference winning talent but they should safely make the tournament IMO, as much as I hate to feed Hail's ego.

Does silly season continue for the gophers after tonight or does it come crashing down in the first game?

The off-season, where dreams of grandeur often enter the minds of goof fans only to be brought abruptly back into realty as the real season starts and the losses pile up. Good luck this year!

    Terps look pedestrian.

NCAA bid will be a struggle for them.

Ah, I forgot. The Terps have legendary Mark Turgeon commanding the ship.

His tenure with Maryland is synonymous with March Madness!

Didn't shoot the ball very well. Going to be some serious growing pains this year with the young lineup.

Carsen Edwards has got some sauce, will be a good player for Purdue this year.
Miles Bridges is a man-child with NBA talent.

Solid first game for Minnesota. Went up by 22 at half and coasted to a victory. Team clearly has alot more talent than last year. Jordan Murphy might get on Sportscenter as well.

Edit: @jwardelt Silly season is still in effect btw.

Their defense needs to improve, but their offense (109 points) & rebounding (59 total, 20 for Swanigan) was humming like a fan would want it to be in Purdue's win tonight.

The three most heralded returnees (Swanigan, Haas, & Vince Edwards) played up to their billing (albeit against over-matched McNeese State). It will be a major jump in competition when they play Villanova @ home on Monday night. Basil Smotherman will return for the Boilers.
