Big 12

More along the lines of the rest of the country came back down to where the Big 12 was. Sadly the only good chance the Big 12 has of putting a Big 12 team in the F4 is KSU. KU and Tech both less than 30% chance of getting to the F4.

I don’t give a good GD how conference teams do if we go out, nor do I care if people think our conference is the best. Obviously our seeding hasn’t been affected much and our conference gives us plenty of tough ass games leading into March. I hate each team in the big twelve more than 98% of the NCAA.

Yeah but there won’t be any after tonight and tomorrow . Winking

We had less than a %30 chance vs Purdue too depending on what you are looking at. SmokinSmile

10th place in a tough conference sux!

FWIW,

K-State bitch slapped Iowa State twice.

Kansas beat ISU twice, but the Cyclones were in both games until the final couple of minutes.

The Cyclones split with Texas Tech. Stomped them in Ames and lost handily in Lubbock.

Not sure what that all means beside the fact that ISU was 4-14 in the Big Xii and 1-5 vs. the Elite 8 teams from the Big Xii.

I hope the Big Xii is full of weaklings next year!

I see it being better next year. At the top anyway.

Looks like just a couple sexys..

I don’t get caught up in the tourney proving conference strength. Last year the Big XII was better but we stunk it up. This year I thought we were overrated and we’ve done well.

You gotta love good ole fashion conference hatred.

Did one round better than expected IMO.

Texas and ou lost in ot, and TCU played cuse down to the wire. Could have been an even more impressive showing.

Lol at the dude who thought the conference was tougher last year. Not even close.

I guess oSu and Baylor probably should have been in the field.

Good thing they put ou in and got the ratings from TY for one round...

Finally lived up to the Conference #1 RPI hype.

However, it was one of 3 conferences already going into this past weekend with 3 teams in the second weekend for 3 years in a row. The B1G and ACC has the same feat. However, the B1G was shut out of the Elite 8 in 16 and 17 and the ACC didn’t put a single team in the FF this year. With that said, I personally feel like the Big 12 has been #2 to the ACC the last 3 years as is. If KU wins it all this year, start to close the gap.

A cyclone rooting against Big 12 brethren? Blasphemy.

Uh duh.

Okie State advances to second round for sure as a 10. Maybe as an 11. Or at least wins a play in game.

Baylor knows how to win in tourney. They have what like 3-4 sweet sixteens and 2 elite 8’s since 2010?

If KU wins, it’s good for the conference. My guess is Big 12 teams are rooting for the last remaining Big 12 team. Unless you just blindly hate KU, in which case, eat a dick.

Oh heck no I’ll be pulling for KU 100%. The Kstate fans that can’t lay down the sword in times like this don’t get it.

Here is exhibit A - money made by conference. Then divide by # of teams. We’re well ahead of everyone else:

big 12 most lucrative tourney

Still don't believe this tourney proves conference strength..

But, I'm glad the Big XII has finally decided to win some effin games this time around.

What do you think does then?

We’ve been #1 RPI 4 of last 5 years. But not exactly stellar in tourney like this year.

I actually disagree with you given how bad OU, Texas and Tech were last year. And TCU wasn’t there yet either. We had no bad teams this year because even ISU was competitive.

To find the toughest conf, imo, you'd have to weigh all games and compare vs overall SoS.. A bunch of panty-waste "top" coaches pad their non-cons every year, so scheduling plays a much bigger role vs a OaD tourney where 1/5 starters in foul trouble, injury, can handcuff a team.. combined with an off-shooting night, or even the opponent having a season high % game, or some combo can spell disaster.

NCAA isn't about to dump the tourney, it's too exciting.
There's a reason pro leagues do a best of series, tho ..and it's only partially bc of money.

No doubt. Can’t just look at the tourney. It’s a comprehensive overview that the ACC has owned as the top dog since the old Big East crumbled. THIS year, regardless of what happens from here, however, would have a tough time telling me it was NOT the Big 12 tho. Would require the Big 12 to do this for a few more years and get a couple natties to shift off the ACC in my opinion.
