BIG 12 TOURNAMENT

F'n Mathews missed the easy lay up that would have put WVU up by 1 with 20 seconds left. Then after the Ok state made free throws, Mcneal makes the 3 that would have tied it but didn't get it off im time. I'm so sick of losing these close heartbreakers.

Crazy, WVU was in the driving seat for a possible 1 seed if they beat Baylor but now are on a 3 game losing streak heading into the Tourney. Are they still a 3 seed?

After today's loss, I'm thinking we drop to 4 depending on how other teams around us do of course.

3 is so much better than a 4 this year but don’t see this team making second weekend

Kansas State is giving Baylor a game? What is going on here?

Also, I'm starting to think Oklahoma State has the second highest odds of making a Final Four run.

One team playing for their season and other team is in cruise control.

Ultimately Baylor should win but K State has momentum going into next year.

Regarding Oklahoma State...

I worry about their size. They aren't the biggest team up front.

But if things break their way they could cause damage. There are some 1-2 seeds that Oklahoma State could beat

I’d like another shot at Texas but not without Dave. Gotta pull for Beard.

With the Covid outbreak at KU, Bill Self can avoid losing to Shaka Smart for another time In this season. Smart has been Self’s kryptonite, he won the elite 8 matchup in 2011 and is currently 2-0 against Self when they had teams with comparable talents. Self tends to dominate when he had much better rosters, but That’s about it.

12-4 vs his kryptonite. Feels good, man.

Seems some things are never gonna change for Scott Drew, he’s just not good when it comes to tournament time.

All the 12 wins Self had a much much better team, he has not been able to defeat Smart when they had rosters of comparable talents.
Imagine being 12-4 against Shaka and still feeling like we’ve underperformed and are a little embarrassed. Self needs to rein it in

The talent isn't even comparable right now.

Kansas has some players who couldn't play at Texas.

I would take Bryce Thompson though

I’m pretty sure that they’ve had the same number of 4- and 5-star recruits over the last 5 years.

Our worst team in decades...and somehow you still finish behind us in league.....and you didn’t play Baylor twice, or did you? Arguing you have more talent just means your coaching is sub par.

was quick on the draw with covid news and have texas 3:1 to win the big 12 tournament. i never hedge but what would you do with this?

"Much, much better" based on...? Whether you want to look at # of NBA players or rankings, Texas has recruited on par if not better for years. And this year they have far more talent.

Poor Bill's won 10 of the last 11 vs K, Roy and Calipari, often with less talent, but he just can't beat Shaka with "comparable" talent....

Maybe someday.
