I thought I would tackle what I believe is the most competitive conference in college football. I think the top 4 teams in the Big 12, in order, are: 1. West Virginia. Will Grier and his stable of receivers will continue to torch weak Big 12 secondaries. The defense will have to improve but they do have a slight advantage over Oklahoma: They get to play the Sooners in Morgantown. 2. Oklahoma. Kyler Murray is the much-hyped replacement of Baker Mayfield, but let's face it: we haven't seen him play any meaningful football. However, if he does live up to the hype and he can exploit any remaining weaknesses in the West Virginia defense, the Sooners could grab another Big 12 title. 3. Texas. I think Ehlinger or Buechele finally rounds into form and Herman's rebuilding of the Texas program begins to pay dividends. Plus, the defense looks to be a strength for the Longhorns again. 4. TCU. I originally had the Horned Frogs at the 3rd spot until the injury of Ross Blacklock. Without a defensive line performing at an optimal level, the TCU defense won't be able to make up for the growing pains of breaking in a new starting quarterback. So, what do you guys (and gals) think of my list?
