Should be an interesting game. Bama has gone massive this year starting 3 6'11" guys but it's hurt their offensive efficiency. 1.05 PPP and 1.07 PPP vs Arkansas St. and Mcneese doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

That being said, I'd still take Bama, just interested to see how they look vs a team with a pulse in a hostile environment.

What say ye?

Bama is definitely more talented and has more continuity. Purdue is still figuring some things out and already lost our starting center for the year. With that, we are probably better going small and starting 6'0, 6'2, 6'6, 6'7 and 6'9 but not sure how that would work against Bama's size.

Our best hope is that the Mackey crowd does what it sometimes does and wills Purdue to a win.

Odd to hear "going small," from Purdue. We'll see how that works vs Bama's size. I'd double Sears on every ball screen and force Nelson to shoot 20+ times.

Feels like Purdue is usually pretty good at FTA allowed per game as well. That's a big part of Bama's offense.

Purdue can go big but it's unproven. The guy who broke his tibia last week is 7'4 but a beanpole freshman who had 13, 7 and 3 blocks in our opener. We can also run out a 7'2 junior who played mop up minutes behind Edey but doesn't impress me (too slow and stiff....Omoruyi would eat him alive). Or a 6'10 senior who looked good as a freshman and just didn't develop. Or a 6'11 true freshman who is raw but looks good and will be good in time.

So far, our 6'9 guy has played alongside one of them to start and slid over to the 5 on occasion. But I'm not convinced that's the best long term solution.

My wife hooked me into going to dinner with a a few other couples tomorrow night. I will be the guy staring at his phone all night.
Luckily I have Peacock so I can watch it.
Bama is still trying to find some chemistry in this group, but I guess every team is.

Sounds like a bad matchup for Purdue.

Obviously a joke but Loyer is averaging 17 points and shooting 75% from three on the season. And he looks more comfortable putting the ball on the deck. Not to mention, he's an elite flopper!
I'm impressed that he added weight and muscle during the offseason. He looks like he truly belongs out there. Perhaps we'll see less flopping.

Weak third foul on Nelson. With Stevenson being awful this year, I’d go small if I was Bama.

I took Purdue +3.5 at drafkings and have them +4.5 in a parlay at BetEspn. Looking good with 3' to go if I didn't just jinx it.

Good win Friday, I thought we might pull it out, but your front court whipped us around the rim.
I was surprised Oats expressed surprise that TKR was that good. It almost sounded like they didn’t scout us. He’s been a featured part of our offense this year and even when Edey was out last year. He’s got a lot of skill.
