You guys need a PG, don't you?

Curtis Jones is more of a SG than a PG, isn't he?

Yeah a lot of PG by committee next year. It would be nice to have a guy who can play just the PG position.

Wisconsin is set to hire George Washington's Tsipis to coach women's basketball team. He is a UNC grad and served under K and Notre Dame's women coach McGraw.

Saw an article that said Beilein was a bit miffed that Bielfeldt chose a B1G school.... which was kind of surprising to me. Why would he be pissed at a player that he didn't allow to finish his career at UM, even when they had a scholarship open and were in need of competent big men?

Sounds like there's a rule where you can't transfer within B1G schools, but Bielfeldt used exactly what you said in an appeal and was granted the transfer to any school. But yes, the move didn't make any sense last year and Beilein being pissed didn't make any sense either.

Max was a Godsend to IU. We're still puzzled why beilein let him go.

The rule only exists if you place a restriction on the player. In MSUs case, Javin Bess has no restrictions so he is welcome to transfer within the B10

Rutgers fired Eddie jordan and made some guy with mediocre coaching credentials the lowest paid coach among major conference programs. Is anyone surprised?

I do not think he will get into the first round. I think he had his mind made up from the get go that he would leave after this year.

Yeah just think he's ready to make money playing basketball, where ever that may be.

tMB must have went on a racial prejudice purge, made a joke about gay porn stars getting aids from monkeys. It was deemed a racist comment. Bant.

To the people wondering why Beilein let Bielfeldt go:

Michigan only had room for two of Max Bielfeldt, Jaylen Brown, and Moritz Wagner. 4 years of Moe Wagner is way more beneficial than 1 year of Max Bielfeldt. The potential for 1-2 years of #2 overall Jaylen Brown is worth the risk of having a Donnal/Doyle/Wagner front court instead of a Donnal/Biefeldt/Wagner front court.

What doesn't make sense about that is that Brown chose Cal on May 2nd, and Bielfeldt chose IU on June 2nd. I would've waited to tell Bielfeldt to get lost only after Brown made his decision.

Didn't UM have a completely open scholarship this past season?

I'm thinking the B1G isn't going to be very good next year unless the freshman really show up in a big way, or some of the guys on rosters show something that we haven't seen before.

I think he will. He's mellowed some in the last few years (believe it or not), and he's pumped with the class he has coming in.

If it all works out, IU, UW and MSU could be some interesting games next year.

They had one open scholarship that was hopefully going to be used by Brown.

The earlier Michigan grants Bielfelt his release, the sooner Bielfeldt can plan the next chapter of his life. Making Bielfeldt wait until Brown made his decision would have been even more selfish had Brown chosen Michigan.

    Agree.

LOT of SR departures and not many great incoming recruits.

Iowa loses a ton, Maryland prob losing 4 starters, IU losing their PG and maybe Troy and Bryant, OSU losing a lot to transfers, Purdue losing their 2 best defenders / leaders.

Wisconsin not losing anyone, maybe Nigel to NBA?

I wouldn't count on him too much next year. We'll see. I don't expect anymore than 15-20 mins from him. If he gets more, we'll be in the chips because he'll be damn good.
