When we missed our alley-oop yesterday I realized it had been a long time since i remember seeing us hit one, even though early in the season we'd have 2-3 per game. Then I started wondering about our chemistry/ball movement in general so I went to look at assists.

Excluding the 3 games Broome did not play, in the first 20 games of our season (through UF) we had the following:
18.5 assists per game
14+ assists in 19/20 games (95%)
17+ assists in 12 games (60%)

In the 10 games since then (excl yesterday, which isn't on sportsref yet):
14.5 assists / game (-4 per game from pre-UF)
14+ assists in 5 games (50%, roughly half before)
17+ games in 3 games (30%, half of before)

Some other notable stat differences:
Rebounds: 36.5/game vs 30 (-6.5)
Blocks: 7/game vs. 4.5 (-2.5)
FT%: 75.3% vs 71.6% (last 4 games even worse.. We've shot 60.5% since bama @ AU)

The only reason i still have hope is that the one exception to this was the Alabama game where we had 24 assists and 7 blocks (admittedly in OT), so maybe it really is something we can "turn on" now that it's do-or-die. However I'm very nervous this trend has been going on too long to reverse for 5 straight games.
