do you wish the demise of the teams ahead of you?

I for one do not. I focus on my team (Vols) accomplishing it's goals, which is winning the next game. I think the exception to that rule is in the case of a team like Nevada, I don't like the idea of them skating through a weak schedule and then taking a high seed. Kansas, Duke, MSU, UM, UNC, Vir., and others than play a solid schedules, more power to them if they get it done. Besides, I think it is more fun to chase than be chased.

The only time it really concerns me is if it is unc ahead of Duke. Rankings play little roles in how a team performs. But it is always nice when the number next to Duke is smaller than the one next to unc.

It is far too early to worry about rankings and "teams ahead of you" in mid-January. Far too often, the committee ends up seeding teams based on the "last impression" given during conference tournaments instead of what you accomplished during the first half of the year. Injuries happen (see Kansas, the make-up of that team is now completely different).

Well, I do like to see UK get spanked (thanks by the way). It sets there fans scurrying around in pandemonium and that is fun.

I can't stand anybody that says/uses "I for one".... I'm sure OP is a super guy though.

We are glad you are proud to be a fan of a highly ranked team. I know that is something you haven't had the pleasure of enjoying in the past.

Kinda role reversal since y'all aren't, isn't it?

You got any other sayings that upset you? I for one want to do my part in seeing you to have the best Rivals experience possible.:)

Just a matter of time. The Vols will be back to normal and Kentucky will be back at the top of the SEC. 42 regular season Championships prove that. More than all the other SEC teams combined.

" A-whole-nother"
"IMHO"
"At the end of the day"

There are others I can't think of right now. Message boards are rife with these logical fallacies.

OP is going to separate his shoulder patting himself on the back this year.

Weird flex, but okay.
I'm pretty limber and learned long ago, if you want something you better get it yourself.

Della's quest for validation has reached the level of U6 fans.
My quest was for conversation and seeing you haven't offered anything interesting to the board, I thought since the bar was low, I would attempt the jump.

I don't root for teams ranked higher to lose, just because they're ranked higher. But if I need someone to lose for my team to get a higher seed, absolutely.

It doesn't matter if you're better than them (which is your case), or worse than them (Louisville), it seems they just like to attack. You don't need to do anything.
Well, I certainly wasn't trying to ruffle feathers with my OP. Maybe, it seemed boasting, but I didn't mean it that way. Anyone that knows me knows that I have been on Rivals a long time and that I don't need to have a super team to have fun. (Vols CFB) Additionally, I can handle myself in an argument.

Then you have been very good at ruffling feathers without even trying. Good job Della.

I would’ve liked to see Michigan as the #1 team in the country when I watch them in Madison, so I was doing a Tomahawk Chop during the review and timeouts Saturday.

I hope Michigan makes it to #1. The higher you go the harder you fall.

What did I even do to bend anyone out of shape?
Some things read differently than they were intended. Now that I've gotten familiar with you I get your posts a lot better. Give the others some time to get to know you.
I think you're a good poster even though you cheer for the bad guys.
