The Rivals National Moderators will be moderating the conversation on this forum. This is a rivalry board and engaging here means you accept that there will be banter, back-and-forth and disagreement, but those interactions should always be civil and never cross into territory that becomes threatening, harassing or inappropriate.
In addition to the global Yahoo Community Guidelines, the following rules govern all conduct on this forum:
1. No personal threats. Directly targeting individuals, personal attacks, and tagging others with the intention of group harassment are strictly forbidden. Directly messaging users with any kind of harassment, threats, or derogatory language is not permitted.
2. Be a good citizen. Interact, connect, and treat others with respect. Don’t engage in name-calling, insults or gratuitous attacks on others. Refrain from posting content that stereotypes people in an insulting, harmful or abusive way. Do not encourage violence, hatred or use discriminatory or derogatory language. Don't post content for the purpose of promoting or inciting the hatred of, or dehumanizing, individuals or groups based on race, ethnic or national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, disability or disease.
3. Any posting of someone’s personal information, or an effort/suggestion to unearth someone’s personal information, will result in an immediate ban from both this board and your home site.
4. Do not give out your personal information on the message board or chat room. Please keep in mind that whenever you give out personal information online (such as your email, phone number etc.) that information can be collected and used by people you don't know. You give out your personal information at your own risk. We are not responsible for any actions that occur if you give out your personal information.
5. Political posts that do not have some meaningful relation to the rivalry or the game will be deleted. Given the climate of current events, we will be very strict on inflammatory comments, especially those directed at other users in this forum including personal attacks, and offensive name calling. If it is personal, it will be deleted regardless of what side you are on. If you don’t like a user's point of view, we suggest you either argue against it with a respectful reply, or use the ‘ignore’ feature on the user. Users will be welcome to share their thoughts as long as it doesn’t violate any rules.
6. Do not attempt to correct other users’ behaviors. We recommend you use one of our two response tools to move forward. Click HERE for the Help Section and you’ll find a list of "How To" topics (titles starting with the word HELP in each one).
Use the ‘ignore’ feature to disengage with specific users moving forward on the forum.
Use the ‘report’ feature if you believe someone is violating rules.
7. No posting of commercial offers. No spamming of the board will be permitted, including creation of multiple new threads in a short period of time.
8. Willful spread and encouragement of harmful misinformation will be deleted.
9. No posting or distributing any material that infringes and/or violates any right of a third party or any law.
10. Moderators retain the right to ban users that violate the rules above, and ban users they determine are consistently trying to be a detriment to the overall community. All takedowns or moderated posts are considered direct violations of these policies and will be considered final. Re-posting of deleted content is not allowed. Creating new or additional accounts after being blacklisted or banned will result in the same consequences. By subscribing, registering or using Rivals, you agree that Rivals, the publisher(s) and board moderators have the right, in addition to other rights, to delete your posts, blacklist, or ban you at any time, if they believe that action is in the best interest of the sites, for whatever reason, and the reason need not be disclosed here.
