anyone going to be upset if they expand the Tourney...

I hope that with the conference realignment that we end up with 5 or 6 large Division I leagues and they kick the NCAA to the curb and start their own tourney.

Those big leagues can keep all the money and not allow the NCAA to socially hand it out to the conferences that can't sell out a gym.

Then we can have honest brokers on rules for basketball and football instead of an NCAA that favors only a couple leagues.

Yea, I think most people would be annoyed. As someone else mentioned, no point in having a regular season if we go much higher than where we are now.

We could just make the whole season a tournament. Lose your first game you're out. Good luck in baseball, but that's stupid.

I think if we're going to extend March Madness, it should be best of 3 series at the end of the year. FF and championship.

No need to expand, those teams suck. If you're borderline 64, GTFO.

Imagine the viewership with the best of 5.

I think the bigger issue that needs addressed is "Conf Championship Week" prior to...........

A. How do you keep the magic that is low-major conference tourneys where entire schools shut down to celebrate making the NCAA tournament for the first time, but also find a way to not punish those teams that went through the grind of an entire regular/conference season only to have one off night in their conference tourney and be told, "Yeah f*** off, you're not good enough anyway, to be in our big boy tourney. But hey at least you got a regular season conference championship *fart noises* and you might.....MIGHT......be selected in one of the remaining 32 spots for the NIT if we feel you'll draw enough ratings for us because that's the direction we're going in now"..............

B. More teams are starting to not give 8 sh**s about the conference tournament, at least at the major conference level. In fact, the committee has even stated as much that it really no longer matters save for the auto qualifiers and the rare instances of bid stealers.

I would be fine with expansion to 80 teams (12 extra teams), but only if it means more opportunities for everyone, and not just more chances to get P5/major teams on the bubble in.

That would make play in games for all of the following:
-All 1/16 games, all 2/15 games, all 5/12 games, all 6/11 games

Excellent post, I just disagree with letting the littles in to take money away from the bigs.
