apparently two day shipping is just a maybe thing now. It’s been months since I have received anything on time. Anybody else having this problem? I am going to cancel my prime membership.

Wife uses it for all her buying needs. Loves it. I wouldn’t have a clue how to use it. My computer is used for Rivals and solitaire.

I have heard shipping delays by Amazon in Alabama. It’s something about backwoods and navigation that’s the culprit.

Your Charmin weak attempt to bait Alabama fans has been noticed, and dismissed.

    Carry on.

    Was it Prime?
For the most part, all of my Amazon Prime orders arrive in 2-3 days.

They’ve been pretty good for the most part. I had a few late deliveries recently, but that’s because there was road work on my street, so Fed Ex was dropping packages at my post office and the mail carrier was delivering to the houses. Our normal postal carrier had left for some reason and they had a temp filling in. That temp apparently didn’t like getting out of the truck while it was raining. Everything has been on time since they finished the road work and Fed Ex is delivering on my street again.

Nope. I’ve never received a late shipment, not once. I have received orders a day early though, can’t complain about that

We order a lot from Amazon & ebay. Haven't noticed any problems but I'm not sitting here with a stopwatch on them anyway.

They employee many people in this little town. That said,
not many say they love working there.

This slightly reminds me of the Louie CK bit about the people complaining about their 5 minute delay before they fly thousands of miles through the air while they drink champagne.

Actually depends on the location & type of delivery. Amazon is estimated to use USPS for delivery of about 40% of it's shipments.

I was wrong, they recently closed the one here, as the new industrial park was taking all of their employees.

Ordered something I actually HAD to have in a couple of days. I should have known better, because once again “two day shipping guarantee”, wasn’t much of a guarantee. Not everything that people buy is frivolous and unnecessary.

If you really need something in two days, check who the order is fulfilled by. It always says. If it doesn’t say fulfilled by Amazon, even if it is prime eligible, Amazon can’t really guarantee the delivery date.

Quit being so lazy and go to a store and get it if you "have" to have it. There have been a few times something comes a little late but more times than being late it is received before the date they gave me.

They will say two day, but after the order is placed they often say it will be much longer before it is available again and once it comes in they will send it in 2 days. It may be weeks. Ha!

My prime shipments are late sometimes. I usually wouldn't mind if the tracking email I got said so up front. I'm also pretty sure the UPS driver has done a fly by so the GPS will cover his ass, but no delivery attempt was made.

Amazon customer service says the UPS facility can pull it off the truck for me, open 24 hours. They close at 8pm, I got there just before they closed, which annoyed them since they hadn't pulled the package for me.

I save about $300 a year on shipping charges by having Prime. Unless you pay for 1-day shipping, your package isn´t going to arrive any faster by NOT having Prime.
Amazon is a retailer, Ebay is a broker. When Amazon introduced Prime, Ebay started pressuring their sellers to offer free shipping but they just jack the price up by the average cost of shipping. Amazon doesn´t have to do that.

I buy a lot of stuff from AMZN, have a prime membership and have never had a problem. In fact, many times the products have arrived a day early.

Of the three services they use I think USPS is the least reliable. UPS and FedEx are usually very reliable. When I track something coming USPS it amazes me how it goes on a complete tour of the country before arriving. Typically when it gets close it goes to Columbus (65 miles south of me), then to Indianapolis (about 110 miles west), then to Detroit (about 60 miles north) and finally to my local PO about 4 blocks away. Amazingly that last 4 blocks can take as long as the rest of the trip combined.
