Cuse going to be top 20 at least imo if nobody leaves early with that recruiting class they got coming in.

That's their problem though. They can't get their borderline prospects to stay long-term. Malachi Richardson blows up in the tourney. Gone. Tyler Lydon. Gone. Would not surprise me to see Tyus Battle leave either.

Also love that Cuse has replaced Va Tech as the annual bubble team each season.

Link?

Cool. I thought Kenny Williams would at least get some love for his defense but the entire team being a defensive trainwreck most of the year probably doesn't help, haha.

Overall that looks good.

Little surprised Yurtseven made third team. But not a huge deal.

Lonnie Walker not being unanimous all-freshman team is odd. Dude is a flat out stud.

Was curious what would happen with the fifth spot on the first team. Looks like it was pretty wide open

I thought Walker and Carter would be unanimous as well as Bagley for FOY.

Agreed. Not sure how you could watch the ACC this year and not feel like they were one of the top 5 freshmen.

UVa barely gets a guy on 1st team, has one more each on 2nd and 3rd team... wins the ACC reg season by 4 games...

...and Bennett is not the unanimous CoY?

Bagley misses four games -- all wins -- and still gets almost 2/3 votes for PoY? Wow.

Definitely a few weird votes. That was one of them.

Bolden getting a vote for 6th man of the year was another.
Haha, yea i thought that to. But he has been been really good after his injury. Kind of surprised me. Bagley not getting unanimous FOY is a joke. Guess he lost a vote for missing games? Glad to see UVA get Guy in there. Bennett at COY was a no brainer. Good to see Carter on the second team. If not for Bagley everyone would know about Carter. I like watching him just as much or more than Bagley. Because he actually plays some defense.

Not much i dont agree with on this list.

Bennett has proven to be a winning coach in the ACC. He definitely deserves the award, no doubt. But Kevin Keatts taking over at NC State and going 11-7 his first year earned him some votes IMO. I am more surprised that he only got 2 votes than I am that Bennett wasn't unanimous.

I think Gary Trent was sort of penalized for being the #3 freshmen for Duke. I would have thought he was good enough for at least Honorable Mention - also didn't make the All-Freshmen team. When I compare his conference stats with say Lonnie Walker, I'm more inclined to go with Trent Jr.

Gary Trent
15.4 ppg
4.1 reb
1.1 ast
1.2 stl

42.2 fg%
43.5 3pt%

Lonnie Walker
13.6 ppg
2.3 reb
2.3 ast

41.3 fg%
36.1 3pt%
81.0 ft%

Yea wasnt upset that he didnt make the all-freshman team although i wouldnt have been surprised if he did, but thought he would have for sure made honorable mention. There was a stretch there from about the Wake Forest game to the 1st VA Tech where Trent was probably the second best player on the floor
