ACC cancels tourney. FSU awarded regular season trophy

Thats odd.
Commissioner Swofford just stated that they award 2 trophies.
One for the Regular season champ and one for the tourney champ.

You might want to re think what you just said.
The winner of the ACC Tournament might officially be recognized as the ACC Champion but even if it’s unofficial, teams are recognized for winning the ACC regular season and every team’s Wikipedia page lists every season that they were regular season champions. There’s also a Wikipedia page that lists every regular season champion since the ACC was formed going back to 1954.
Duke said they aren't participating in the NCAA tourney even if there is one. Zero chance they are having this tourney now.
it was the ACC commissioner that just said that FSU was regular season champions and handed them a trophy for it. I was watching the trophy presentation too. Guess it was just a not knowing wtf to do since this is all so unprecedented.
Edit: maybe he did give them the accT trophy bc the tourney was cancelled and they won the regular season, but he def said usually we hand out two trophies this week. Idk it’s all a pointless clusterfk at this stage

Least he can’t be as stupid as the big east commissioner canceling their first game at half. Like dam u already got all the people in there and played a half of the game. If people were to get infected they would have already been infected by halftime most likely. I just don’t think they wanted St. John’s to beat creighton then cancel the rest of the tourney and have to give creighton the Trophy bc they were the 1 seed despite already being ousted from the tourney.
Man I feel ya, we’ve been through some self inflicted dark times the past few years, but this team has been somewhat of a silver lining bc I felt like we had a punchers chance of making a run if givin the right bracket/matchups.
