6th Annual College Basketball Draft

@GE Nole Graham Ike, MWC Preseason POY, out with a lower leg injury. Out for 6-8 weeks. That sucks. That would put his return for Mid December - early January. Should be back for conference play, at least.

Lol. This happens every year for me so it’s whatever. I don’t know if a better player undrafted to replace him with.

Sure seems like it. Not as bad as Javonte Perkins last year, but still a pain. Ike could still easily be 1st Team All-Conference.

Feel free to take a supplemental pick before Monday. But, as you mention, not even sure who a better replacement would be.

I almost took him at one point. Sucks for @GE Nole. That’s just unlucky.

Here's a random way to project some of the scoring. I'm taking the floor and ceiling (postseason awards) for everyone's top 5 players. lurker came out on top. Though, I'm not sure how well he'll do with the latter half of the draft (i.e. a couple Kentucky guys and Emoni). Jimbo got docked pretty good on Toppin, as I believe he's the only player on this list that I thought didn't have HM All-American ceiling (I put his ceiling at 2nd Team All-Conference).

This is roughly 25% of the scoring, as you obviously need Win Shares - and at least 4 more players. So, put too much stock into these numbers. It's just the easiest to pinpoint since most of these guys will make the final roster cut - and quite a few of them have All-American potential, which should ultimately push someone to the draft victory.

Complete rosters below.

The post above focused on Rounds 1-5. When I look at Rounds 6-12, the teams I really like are @Jaycg15, @WeAreDePaul, @duckboy33, and @MGC_07. I like Jay's last 7 rounds the best, I think. So factor that in and maybe duckboy and Jay are the biggest threats for the title. WeAreDePaul's team is also very strong.

Your doubt fuels me!

Your doubt fuels me!

Your team should be fine, IMO. The difference isn't that large. And it's hard to project Win Shares as well as the quality of picks of the last couple of rounds.

Your top 5 picks consist of either the #1 or #2 guy of four different title contenders. And Abmas is a 2x HM All-American. That's a really solid core. I think Tyger Campbell could have a big jump this year. He has All-American potential.

Hoping to take down at least one person with this JV team. We shall see.

JV Team
Caleb Mills, Florida State
Trey Alexander, Creighton
Keyonate Johnson, Kansas State
Tre Mitchell West Virginina
Dawson Garcia, Minnesota
AJ Hoggard, Michigan State
Tyreke Key, Tennessee
Josh Oduro, George Mason
Khalif Battle, Temple
Tosan Evbuomwan, Princeton
Sam Sessoms, Coppin State
Taevion Kinsey, Marshall

Never thought I’d actually see a Binghamton player picked in these drafts. Even if it’s not technically a pick and it is two schools removed from Bing.

Devilz in round 11: Great pick, Jimbo. The value of Tramon Mark this late is fantastic

Devilz in his review: a mentally handicapped third grader could have selected a better team than Jimbo

Stop taking my emotions for a ride, dammit. I'm a man, I have feelings.
The world needs 12th place finishers, too, am I right, guys?

probably not a good sign that you're hyping your 11th round pick as the reason your team doesn't suck.

When I was aggregating the first 5 picks for each team, you got docked quite a bit for Jacob Toppin. Dude is a fun player to watch. Crazy athletic. And honestly, I think he's capable of averaging something like 14-7. But, I worry that minutes/touches won't be easy to come by. I could see him and Daimion Collins coming close to splitting the 4 spot at 20 minutes each. Not sure he'll get any postseason accolades.

If you look at my top 150 players, I have Tramon Mark ranked 79th, which is a 7th round value. So, I do think that is a steal.

At any rate, most of these picks are toss ups. I mean, I don't know how these guys have developed over the summer. I hear things from scrimmages/exhibitions, but that never paints the full picture of how team roles will be defined. I'm wrong every year on several players, perhaps Toppin is one of them.

My top 4 picks were all taken by Goodman and Hummel - Jaime Jaquez, Keyonte George, Adam Flagler, and Brandon Miller. Really hoping Baylor is going to be as good as I think they are. Between Cryer-Flagler-George, could have 2 All-Americans.

Jay also had 4 of the 26 Goodman/Hummel picks - Cam Whitmore, Terrence Shannon, Pete Nance, and Amari Bailey. Oddly enough, his first two picks, Armando Bacot and Nijel Pack were both missing. No Bacot is probably the biggest head-scratcher.

Hah Coppin State to Binghamton. That's quite a leap.

I sat in the small Binghamton section when we played them in the tourney in 2009 (they didn't check our tickets, we just tried to get the closest available seats). Someone was obviously missing. "How did you get tickets to our section?" re: "I don't know. Must have bought them from a Binghamton fan." Like a Binghamton fan would come down to North Carolina only to sell their tickets lol.

You got to witness the penultimate in the ascension of the program before the eventual denouement left the program in a fiery wreck of Shakespearean scale.

I had 3 (Abmas, Timme and McCullar). Putting together a team to actually play and not picking Tyger Campbell as at least your backup point guard is highly questionable.

Reeves was as great pick. Already setting UK records. Actually doubling them up.

40th best transfer. Get bent Goodman.

Nice graphic lol. Where'd you get this? Timme's never been a great rebounder. That's his downfall for legitimately competing for NPOY. 2 boards is not good. Hopefully he only got 20 minutes - and there wasn't a whole lot of rebounds to be had.

My 4th round pick, Brandon Miller, is a stud. But, shooting from the outside ain't exactly his strength. I'd call it a victory if he could average 32% from 3 on the season. Kind of surprising that he went to Alabama in that regard. Oats is all about layups/3-pointers and not a whole lotta in-between. 0-6 from Miller from three. Doesn't need to shoot that many outside jumpers, IMO.

You got to witness the penultimate in the ascension of the program before the eventual denouement left the program in a fiery wreck of Shakespearean scale.

lol right. So, are you writing a play, or something?

He played 28 minutes. But he did have 1 block and 3 steals so he's decided to make a run for WCC DPOY.
