5th Annual College Basketball Draft

Did you draft him before or after his dewey? If before, bad luck. If after, poor due diligence…

Drafted him more than a week before the DUI was announced. Bad luck happens, sometimes. I drafted Keyonate Johnson in the 2nd Round last year.

Not gonna start a thread, so I'm just gonna use this thread as a catch all for random players.

So excited to get this season started. I'm glad @dukedevilz will do daily updated stats for each of our teams sorted by team/win shares. It will make it much easier to know where we stand.

PS - Sorry about the impending job loss while trying to keep this up.

Hah right. If only I could get a full-time job watching basketball and analyzing stats all day. How do I make that happen?

@dukedevilz doesn't have a job. How do you think he has time to do all this?

State jobs are awesome. Seriously.

I’m sure you’re mostly joking, but start a pay-site requiring subscriptions. I guarantee you’d get more than a few subs from this site alone. Myself included.

Very similar to what @JimboBBN has done with Onlyfans, only with basketball.

Please, child. I get more hits than Rafters after a John Higgins called game.

You can start by having really bad hair and awful takes.

Myles Johnson’s defense will make him one of the college basketball’s most impactful transfers
UCLA blocked 69 shots as a team last season en route to its first Final Four appearance under Mick Cronin. Johnson blocked 68 while he was at Rutgers. That type of math isn’t difficult to decipher. The 6-10 Johnson will drastically change the Bruins on the boards and the front of the rim.

Alright @dukedevilz we are one night in. Who has this wrapped up and who is already as good as eliminated?

A lot of people questioned it, but I knew Barcello was going to be special for me

Obviously this is wildly incomplete. I'm factoring in all 12 players, in the actual final results there will be only 9 players. Win Shares will change the trajectories of some teams... And the biggest issue, of course, is we always overvalue and undervalue players. I'll also concede that my rankings make up 1/6 of this, so the rankings are biased a little bit in my favor.

Ochai Agbaji looked like a stud the other night. With Timme and Agbaji, Jimbo's going to be tough. boilerzz also destroyed everyone on the composite rankings, so you gotta like his chances, as well.

My 12th round pick, Manny Bates, is likely out for the season... one freaking minute into the season. Thought he would be a steal in Round 12, as he was the most likely candidate to win ACC DPOY.

I always want to win, but would be okay with 5th. Definitely don’t want last.
