Two pretty good games so far. My Braves somehow made it in despite half the roster being a Triple A squad. I think they get swept by the Padres though. Especially since Chris Sale isn't pitching in the series because of an injury.

@hailtoyourvictor the Tigers won. You excited? Or do you even exist anymore? Haven't seen you around these parts in awhile.

@ExitFlagger the Royals won. How you feeling?

@IUfanBorden I know you love some playoff baseball. Who you taking this year?

The Royals don’t go to the postseason often, but when they do, they don’t **** around. They might want to remember how to hit soon though.

Love October baseball.

Like the Yanks and the Padres. Dont overlook the Mets.

Felt the Royals would take care of BAL....O's just not a lot of experience.

Hate to say, But I think the Yankees win the WS

I became a Tigers fan from my years living in Michigan. Glad to see they are hot right now and have been hot for a couple months.
I definitely didn't expect them to sweep KC and TB to get one of the wild card spots and wow, they swept the Astros in Houston in the WC. Love it.
Now it's off to Cleveland, where they have had a lot of success recently.

That Mets/Brewers game last night was crazy. Thought the Brewers had it, up 2-0 going into the 9th, then NY put 4 on em.

I love playoff baseball.

Was pretty badass.

As a Braves fan, I hope both teams lose eventually. But, I honestly wouldn't care if the Mets won the ship if they didn't have Pete Alonso. That dude is so unlikable IMO.
I picled the Mets to get to the series. Said in this thread, they were gonna be a problem.

I hate both teams.. But the Philz more; Harper is an absolute arrogant, prick of a human being.

In honor of the baseball playoffs, here is today's interesting fact about the White Sox.

In 2005 the White Sox had arguably the greatest playoff run in the history of MLB. Sox went 11-1. The only loss was opening game of ALCS which had weird circumstances behind it. The Angels, the night before had finished off the Yankees in a tight series and were still riding off that high when they met the Sox the next day. Sox swept Boson in round one and were waiting for Angels series to end, came out a little rusty in game 1.

When the Dodgers signed Otani, I made a 50.00 futures bet for them to win the World Series. the 50.00 bet pays 275.00 if they win it. They are currently offering me 142.00 to cash out. That will go up if/when they close out the Mets to I am guessing around 200.00. I will likely cash out at that point and not risk losing it. If the Guardians were to upset the Yankees, it probably goes up even more.

@IUfanBorden did you watch that Yankees/Guardians game last night? That game is what playoff baseball is all about.

Looking like we're going to get a Yankees/Dodgers World Series. MLB commissioner is probably pretty damn excited about that. Viewership should be really high.
Awesome. Down to last out. PH, 2 run tater.

Then walk it off next inning.

Insane

I can't believe that happened. As soon as Aaron Boone put that pitcher in and they said he hadn't pitched in 37 days, I thought for sure he would lose it, then he got Ohtani out on one pitch. I thought Boone was going to luck out, then he through the worst pitch you can throw to a lefty.
Surely the yankees have better options… right?

Just an absolutely incredible game 1. The tension and energy in Dodger stadium was palpable through the TV. Freddie's walkout was an absolute no doubters. And to think this was only Game 1!

I have that futures bet I made on the Dodgers back when they signed Otani. I think I mentioned it earlier in this thread maybe. I was watching the game in the 9th thinking well I’m down 0-1, then BOOM!! Leftie pitcher vs lefty batter and Freddie has been banged up too? Didn’t see that one coming!
